Eric Peterson: I bought the three pack and placed them under sinks in the house. These things should be considered mandatory especially if you buy cheap "made in China" faucets and plumbing in general. Nothing beats good ole Made In USA when it comes to plumbing. Even when you think you're good after an install and there's no leaks, water leaks and cheap plumbing parts almost go hand in hand. Leaks are silent for the most part and do their dirty work in silence while you go about your life. They can do a LOT of damage. Water is the most abundant corrosive on the planet! So get some of these and place them wisely. You will save yourself a TON of headaches and heartache by being alerted in the beginning of a leak! Don't procrastinate on this action and take action now before you experience a leak not afterwards! You'll be better off for it.

Amazon Customer: This products is very good. Already saved damage due to leaked valve in my washroom. It gives sharp alarm and email and app alert in leak detection. Must have. Go for it, nothing to regret.

Amazon Customer: I bought more of these to cover the potential problem areas. They seem to work well but they could be a LOT louder. Hard to hear in the home from another room. The app is good but it could be better if it could make a loud sound on your phone to alert you. A banner and basic sound just doesn’t cut it.

leyman tedford: Update: We received an email and a full refund. The company made it easy. On the customer service I've given 5 stars. Well try again and let you know.
Original review follows...

We tried many times through the "exact instructions" provided. Every time the command to "move closer to router" appears. We had all units sitting one foot away from the router. The company has refunded the extra sensors we purchased separately, but so far we haven't been offered a solution to this product simply not working straight out of the box. We'll see. Update later ...if it gets resolved.

Birder: I purchased this leak detection system to have an extra comfort factor while we're away from our home. We've experienced one water heater failure already and are also subject to water entering our basement through a walk-out entrance if the outside sump pumps ever fail.

I purchased the set that included three sensors and then purchased five additional sensors to add to it. The set came with the three sensor already paired to the main monitor. That would normally be a good thing but the problem was, each sensor is identified by a 4-digit ID. The three ID's were shown in the App, but they were not marked on the sensors. So, I had no idea which sensor I was putting in each different room without physically testing them so they would be identified by the monitor, then marking each sensor with the correct ID. For the five extra sensors, the ID for each was shown as they were paired to the main monitor so I marked the ID on the sensors as I paired them. Sure would be nice if the ID's were marked on the sensors from the factory.

The good news is, the monitor did an excellent job of picking up the sensor signals from all points within the house, even those sensors located in...

Steve: ***Update: kitchen sink had a small leak that tripped the alarm, I heard it from upstairs and then the phone app went off. Saved me $$$ from having to replace a soaked cabinet. Awesome!

Nice and loud. App is easy to set up. Battery life seems great. No idea if they detect water or not, but don't really want to find out.

Alan G.: Overall, these are good value with lots of nice features.

But there is one really glaring missing feature that Govee needs to add if they want a full 5/5 rating:
The android app does not show sensor signal strength to gateway, nor does it show status. So the app shows all the sensors regardless if the gateway sees it or not. So if a sensor is in a puddle of water but the signal is not getting through, you have no way of knowing there is no signal, and of course it does not signal that it detects water. So it creates a false sense of security.

I have sent the suggestion to Govee support but no answer. I suggested showing signal strength for each sensor, status of each sensor, and an alarm option if a sensor drops off. I am hopeful they see the logic and add this feature to the app.

After final placement of the gateway, I tested each sensor with a plate of water, at the sensor location, to make sure each has a proper signal where they are placed. A painfully tedious process to make sure each is within range, which could be avoided if I had some way of knowing the sensors have adequate signal strength. But even with that precaution, I have no way of knowing if...

LuckyLucyLuckyLucy: Govee WiFi Water Sensor 3 Pack, Water Leak Detector 100dB Adjustable Alarm and App Alerts, Leak and Drip Alert with Email, Wireless Detector for Home, Basement(Not Support 5G WiFi)

These are cost-effective Wi-Fi enabled water leak sensor devices. This pack comes with three wireless sensors that check in to a single Wi-Fi plug-in hub. This type of design allows you to buy many sensors for a cost-effective price. There are other water leak sensors that have Wi-Fi built into the leak sensor itself however the obvious trade-off here is that each of those are typically 40 to $70. With this type of design each water sensor uses a 433 MHz RF signal to the central hub. And the hub itself connects to Wi-Fi using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Because of the low RF range it is quite capable to be placed pretty much anywhere in your house and reach the Wi-Fi hub.

The water detection is very quick and it notifies your phone and sends an email. Within 10 seconds of detection you will get a phone app notification as well as an email and obviously you will hear the siren go off loudly.

The water leak sensors have three volume levels for the siren. Basically you would want to set this...

Willy Eff: My Honeywell/Resideo water leak detectors have given great service for years until recently when one has refused to connect via bluetooth and another has started eating batteries. I thought I'd give the Govee units a try and the price for 3 with the required gateway was WAY below the replacement cost for ONE Resideo. The set up was easy and all 3 units were connected to the app without issue. I saw the issue someone else had with identifying the individual detectors so you can assign the right one to the right place. I just put each one (well, 2 of 3 actually) into alarm mode, saw the code for the one alarming in the notification on the app and assigned it accordingly. Not a big deal and I marked the data in Sharpie on each unit for future reference. I still have 3 Resideos in service and now I have 3 new Govees. I expect to add more Govees as the Resideos age out. Nice, fast notification of alarms on my iPhone. Good product.

C. Jones: I knew it was inevitable this Spring, my basement was going to flood. No way around it. I hired a lemon of an excavation company last year to stop it, they did the worst job imagineable and made the problem worse. They basically created a basin that collects rain water up against my house and then just DUMPS it into my basement. Plastic sheeting on the outside helps keep the rainwater out, but after a WI winter with heavy snow & ice, I was concerned that I didn't quite make sure I placed enough sheeting down.
So, after a day of chunking ice & vacuuming water on the outside so I remove old sheeting and place new down new before March rain... I placed these sensors down.
I was pretty confident only a small amount would leak in the usual spot. I thought 3 sensors was more than enough and I'd place the other 2 in areas of mild concern. Well the usual spot didn't leak, my efforts of ice picking and vacuuming (and probably worrying the neighbors) has paid off. The water came from under the house! A sensor went off just as the water was trickling in. I ran to action... placing towels and quick damn bags down to keep the water from flowing in from the area in the floor. I...
