Paige M.: I followed the recommendations of a few reviews and purchased extra hex nuts and large washers to support the plastic pieces that came with the frame. Other than that, the frame went in smoothly. It helped to have two people to line everything up properly but it could easily have been done by one person. I needed support for an antique oak bed. This worked perfectly. It doesn’t creak or sag like the old wood slats did. I’d buy again.

Bill Bison from Buffalo: Although described as "compatible with steel side rails," this product is designed for wooden side rails, so that the steel cross braces should be screwed in for stability, per the Assembly directions. The directions are not very clear; much trial and error needed. Still, the end result was a big improvement over sagging wooden slats.

Eric R. Scott: We have a really nice bed that was solid wood and wanted to keep, but the guts (support frame and slats) were made of cheap wood and broke, causing the bed to become unsafe/unusable. We did some research and found the Glideaway GS-3 XS X-Support Bed Frame Support System and it made the bed like new. It was fairly easy to assemble (although the directions could have been better), and is solid and sturdy once together. It has nylon feet pads so it won't scratch (we have hardwood floors in the bedroom it is installed in) and both vertical and horizontal braces. Also the bed used to squeak a ton when you sat on it - and it is nearly quiet now. I highly recommend this system if you are looking to keep your bed, but have failed/faulty/broken bed guts!

Jesse: Found this trying to find a solution to a bed frame I inherited. When I first my frame the bed portion was being supported by slates that would crack and creak and were very non-functional. My short term solution was to use a stand alone metal frame underneath that worked better but caused a lot of rubbing and wear on my box spring as it was wedged in. As we recently moved I started looking for solutions. I came across this bed frame support and ordered it. It fit perfectly as it is highly adjustable, has heavy duty support, and was easy to set up. I did have to drill holes and add screws to attach this to the frame. For anyone with even a little knowledge of tools this should not be an issue. I have a king temperpedic bed that is easily supported with this setup and does not creak/crack or make a ton of noise.

Christine: This is a great product. Just wish we had received all the parts!! We have a king size wood bed, with wood sideboards. The original flimsy wood supports had snapped from moving the bed around and not realizing that the supports which were held up with one centered post had bent to the side. We had carpet in our bedroom and switched to wood floors. Moving the bed the center post slipped and over time they snapped. Ordered these and had our bed apart and partially installed when we realized there was only ONE X-brace in the box. There should have been 2. We still assembled it as we had no choice - I did contact Amazon and they said to send it back - however, we had already installed. Sending back was not an option, as we needed the bed supported. I did contact the seller to have a new X-brace sent but have yet to hear from them. Disappointing - but it is a great product IF YOU GET all the parts!

Roger5Roger5: Although this product refers to use with wood side rails, our queen bed has steel rails. Nevertheless, installation was not difficult by following the easy to read instructions. I did skip the step of drilling the side rails. Instead, the system lies directly on the side rails with the weight of the foundation and mattress holding it in place. The cross bracing in the center maintains the integrity of the 3 cross rails. I had read in a previous review that the instructions were poor and hard to follow, but that's not the case at all. The system is adjustable over a wide height range. Our bed rails sit at the low end of the range and the parts kit includes 3 risers for use with rails at the high end of the range.

Amazon Customer: My partner and I purchased the Glideway Support System after the existing support legs on our bed set broke off. We tried to get replacement parts from Structube but they weren't much help. We tried DIY fixes with industrial-strength adhesive but the legs wouldn't stay. The Glideway set is just what we were looking for. It took us about 20-30 mins to set-up. It feels sturdy. I can see it lasting us for quite some time. Installing the "cross rails" was confusing. Mine don't line up perfectly. I think that's on me though, not the product.
