Garrett: After discovering that Amazon had delivered the bed to my neighbor, I recovered it and started to put it together. The package is well packed, with a plastic coated box so that if it happens to get wet during the delivery process, it doesn't fall apart before it reaches your house. Nice. Parts are individually wrapped inside the box for protection as well, but 2 of the frame legs had significant scratches on them. Fortunately, the scratches were on the inside surface so they would not show after assembly. Directions for assembly were Ikea-like, but not quite as good due to the pictures being very small and showing very little detail. I figured it out and got it together in about 30 minutes; if I had to do it over again, it would take me 10. The wood slats are a bit thin, but should be OK, neither my wife or myself are heavyweights. Hardware for the bed is regular bolts and screws, appropriately sized and NyLock nuts so they stay tight forever. Also good. Many times the hardware on kits is cheap and a source of later failure. Not with this one. Would recommend as a good bed for a very reasonable price.

Steve DSteve D: The frame was simple to assemble and the metal is very solid. The slats bend by design. for my 130# wife who is a back sleeper, they bend very little. For me at 200lbs and a side sleeper, they dip roughly 1/4 to 1/2 an inch give or take. This causes 2 problems.
Problem 1- the metal bar does not bend like the wood. causes a non-uniform sleeping surface that makes my lower back hurt in the morning. Problem 2- in my mattress research, I don't find anyone who says the base should do anything more then be flat, hard and supporting. Base should not bend.
to fix the problem, I simply put some two by four boards under my side of the bed as in picture. Replacing the slats won't be easy as they are 3 inch wide and only 1/2 inch thick. Standard slats are 3.5inch by 1 inch boards. Would require custom boards and even hardwood that thing might bow. Another fix would be to put solid wood slats on top of the frame across the entire bed then put mattress on the slats. Bracing under the bed was cheaper and simplier in my opinion.
I'm pleased with my frame now that i found a way to fix what I consider a design issue. It should be noted my wife never had any issues as she is a...

Jesse A Lewis: All around pretty decent, super easy to assemble compared to other similar products, can support a lot of weight however- if you are a heavier set person and using this with a softer foam mattress the slats are like closer to 5” apart, my partner at 130 has had chronic back issues before this bed and feels great now that we have it, I am 180lb and I have back pain from sinking in too much between the slats w memory foam. This is not a deal breaker, a $20 trip to Lowe’s to place a slat of plywood under my side of the bed fixes that concern for me but as someone who has had a hiatal hernia after a foam mattress to slat bed frame purchase (not this one thank God) I can tell you it’s really important to listen to your body on this and understand the heavier you are the more you will sink in between the slats and your partner will have a varying experience, so be mindful. So if you are heavierset and using a plush foam mattress be ready to also go get some plywood to flatten it out. I also put a waterproof anti allergen antimold cover on the mattress because why wouldn’t you? Storage under is amazing. I would recommend this frame it’s great but yeah slats are a bit further...

Phillip: This frame is solid! The hardware and welds appear strong! I bought this for my 6'4", 260lb son. I've had it up for about a week, and so far so good. The frame not only supports his weight, but another 70lbs of a Savile Row plush mattress (which is also excellent in quality)!
I was a little skeptical before ordering, due what another reviewer said about slats cracking. I don't believe that they're made of hardwood, but as long as you aren't using the bed as a wrestling ring, I think they'll last. They are 3¼ inch (long/wide, depending on how you look at it) and ½ inch thick. They have some flex, but probably won't break the way that the weight is over all distributed. I've seen some sites say that the slats should be no more than 2-3 inches apart, and some others 3-4. These slats are placed 4 inches apart, and I will attest that they seem to be supporting the mattress without issue. Plus, I figure I can always get more slats made if it comes to that, but I don't think that it will. If worse comes to worst, you can always put a bunkie board between the frame and the mattress, but, like I said, it seems to be supporting the mattress just fine.
The only small...

Emily paul: I have had this bedframe for over a year, and even bought a second one for another bed. I recommend it to all of my friends lol. My partner and I are on the larger side, and we have broken or bent every bedframe I have ever gotten up until this point. It is exceptionally easy to put together, and honestly a marvel of modern engineering. The design is just very very smart. I love that the slats are shorter, so that they are more durable, and the design is very simple and sturdy.
