Jamie: Considering the price, this is a good deal, but if you are looking for something to last for at least a decade, I am not sure how well these will hold up. All of the slats are functional but about 3 of the slats had 1 or more pre-existing slits in the wood. None of the slats were actually broken though. As a preventative measure, I applied duct tape to the areas with the slits. I bought this product to replace a set of old broken/bent slats that came with a second hand ikea twin bed frame that I am using in my off-campus college apartment. The new slats fit well. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. However, it is important to note that I am not too concerned with long term durability.

JimDiamond: Here's some info for people worrying about the size for a twin bed. The space between the frame side walls (the place the mattress goes) was exactly 39 1/8" on this twin bed and the board slats were the perfect length. Not too long and, not too small. Since my daughters' beds are a standard Twin bed and a standard twin mattress I can only guess maybe that the people that had boards that were too long had some kind of proprietary (like Disney) bed size so they (Disney or whoever) could sell their "almost" twin size mattress if and when the owners needed a new mattress. Otherwise twin is twin (unless it's twin XL) so I don't know why it wouldn't work.

My daughter was using just a mattress on a bed frame that required a box spring. So one of the 3 boards holding up the mattress snapped. This product (Classic Brands Standard Twin size Wooden bed slats) saved me so much time and money. I expected to have to go buy box springs (my other daughter has the same bed and situation, she just hadn't broken it yet), which I probably would have done, but now I had a support board on the bed broken in half. MomofsixNH: The product description says to measure your bed..l did and it seemed to be the right size. Sure enough the slats fit perfectly! I think some bed frames must be a slightly different size, so make sure to measure before you order these. Anyway, I wanted to buy a memory foam mattress and not have to get a box spring- I had a traditional cheap frame with no slats, not a platform bed, for my seven year old daughter. These were perfect for her and I think it would support me just fine (5'5" 135 lbs) but I am not sure if I would trust this product for a large adult.

MommyIves: We ordered this set of slats because we were given a set of bunk beds, but was missing one bunkie board.

These are fairly sturdy, are all hooked together with thin elastic, but it serves its purpose and makes it easy to put them onto the bed frame. Our bunk beds have four screwed in support beams, these lay on top of those and give the mattress adequate support.

We decided to only use this on the bottom bunk, for the top bunk we felt safer with the full bunkie board for safety.

My husband napped with our 5 year old yesterday and this worked well and held both of their weight with no creaking or sagging.

Great value for its price.
