Phil R.: I used these to set up an alarm system on my pickup truck tonneau cover. If I happen to leave some tools or other valuables in my box I set this alarm and if anyone tries to pry open my tonneau cover they will be met with an ear pearcing alarm that will both surprise them and hopfully cause them to move on.

Shawn.S. it was great only problem is that it wasn't supposed to be delivered till tomorrow not today so I wasn't expecting it I like to be watching for it but a day earlier with out any notice is not good we have people around here that steal packages so next time please inform me it's going to be early ok thank you.: I got this for my buddy so he can catch the thief in his sober living cause now every one in the house can hear when some one goes in his room when he is gone . When you live way back off in the woods on many acres as I do and have no neighbors near. If anyone ever attempted to come from street thru my woods and attempted to try and enter my home via door or even windows.. these super loud alarms instantly go off alerting you. Lol. So if need be,you have time to arm yourself. These are so great. Feel super safe with these. The noise level is so loud I believe my closest neighbor at the very end of our road can probably hear it.. I know their dogs do. Also had a huge fix that's been killing all our chickens and ducks appear near my back door one night. I saw it attempt to grab my large duck and walk away with it towards wood line.. so I opened the door to set off the loud alarm.. in doing so, the fox was started and immediately dropped our duck and ran off into the woods. Haven't seen it around again since. So also a GREAT deterant against large outdoor animals you don't want around.

TO Allen: I used two of these on one door to my storage room as I have no use for the second one, and even with both alarms going off it doesn’t seem loud enough to scare or deter potential intruders.
The design of the battery cover is not good as anyone can pop the cover off to remove the batteries to disarm it. It should be screwed in.
Also the included double sided tape is not very strong which could allow for easy removal. I used epoxy glue to secure it instead. The remote seems to be well made, easy to use and doesn’t feel flimsy.

Nikki: These do what they are intended for but sadly they are so loud that even my neighbors were commenting on the alarm 4 doors down from us. They don't have thr option to reduce the volume, or to change the alarm sound which would be very helpful.
If you have a large house and need to hear the sound from a long distance then these may be good for you, but for a smaller house, they are way too loud and actually hurt your ears and give you a headache before you manage to turn them off.
Also the alarm goes on when the alarm and the connecting magnet are separated, it does not turn off when you close the door and they are reconnected, the only way to turn them off is with the remote.. so if you lose it, you're SOL and can't turn the alarm off without having to damage the item
I'm sending it back.

chamcham: The media could not be loaded.  So easy to install! You don't need to use your tools to put this on your door. The adhesive tape is very strong. I install it in my front and back door. I leave the remote in the living room so anyone can use it when they want to unlock it. But the other remote i keep it in my bedroom so i can have the extra remote when there's false alarm. I'm always alone with my children as my husband usually gets home very late but these alarms makes me feel so safe and secure now. Love these extra alarms in my home! I think the only issue i have is the alarm is so loud and i wish there's a switch for volume so i can decrease the level a little. But it's still fine because i know this alarm can actually make my neighbors get alert if this goes on and I'm not at home. So overall it was fantastic!
