RemedyRemedy: The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this antenna to cut the cord from the cable company.

At first glance I was not at all excited about the quality. The materials are made of what look like cheap plastic. It is somewhat wobbly. I do not believe it will last long outside. However was quite surprised at its signal strength.

With that said, I decided to mount the antenna in my attic. I used a app on my phone to point the antenna in the correct direction where free local HD channels are available.
Included with the antenna is a motor, external amp to boost the signal, direction remote, 50’ of coaxial cable.

The instructions are clear and straight forward. They are easy to read and understand.

During the assembly it came with cheap thumb screws that I doubt would handle the Texas heat.

Flipp: This is a very good antenna, although it is aluminum and plastic, this thing works GREAT! But I will give you some hints to help you. This is my second antenna of this type. Here is what happened to me. The Cable 33 foot cable that comes with these on my first one had inferior ends on it, which did not hold up well when I pulled the cable through my wall, it separated a tiny bit, an that tiny bit caused my whole unit to stop working, but prior to that, we ran a test. I like in a low area, and Duluth MN is high up on a hill and there are many hills and valleys in between me and Duluth. Back in the Day I tried a 100 mile Antenna with a motor on top of my house with 2 8 ft extension poles and I ran guide wires and everything, and I picked up the channels albeit very snowy at times, it was horrible. I ended up taking it all down after a year. Then everything went digital, and I saw one of these antennas on sale for like 25 bucks. Im like what could it hurt? My old set up cost me about 185 and it was terrible. 100 mile range and I could not even get 45! Sheesh. So we hooked this little guy up and ran the cable out the window and to a small 32 inch TV that I could use...

Lisa G.: We received this quickly, easy to install and was able to use it in less than an hour. I am receiving a lot of channels for my area. The most attractive feature was the ability to adjust with the remote (we are in a wooded area and I have to adjust it to receive the rest of my channels which is why I wanted this feature). The price was also very good for what I have received compared to other brands I looked at. I recommend this antenna, especially if you are looking for an alternative to paying for HD tv. It currently is saving me $60/month (Georgia, USA).
