Picking up so much more TV than I could have imagined. I have it mounted inside, but I suspect this thing would be even better if it was mounted outside and just a little higher off the ground.

jodyb10: I recommend this item because it does a good job receiving OTA TV channels. The price is great. Not sure how long it will last. It did seem like it might not hold up for 10+ years but I'll bet it gets me 5-10 years. The only real disappointment was the rotor functionality. Has one button on the power box that you can push and hold to turn the antenna. However, you're turning it blind so you can't really see which way the antenna is pointing. I'd like to have a rotor that displayed some sort of directional gauge so that I could dial in the best directions for different TV channels. But for the price, what can you expect? It is nice that you don't have to run a separate wire just for the rotor. It's power goes through the coax cable and is provided by the power box located inside the house. Also, the remote only works on line of site. So if I step out the door to watch the antenna turn, I have to have the remote pointed directly at the power box to get it to turn the antenna. Also, the remote has 2 buttons. Doesn't seem to matter which you push. It goes in the direction it wants to go. Sometimes left, sometimes right. And there's no telling if or when it is going...

The good.....Arrived in just 3 days so I'm pleased with the shipping. Appears to be undamaged. Was easy to put together and seems to work.
Crystal clear on the 2 TV stations within approx 30 miles of me.
The not so good.....150 mile range seems like a swing at the fences. TV towers less than 2 hours away I couldn't pick up at all. The power rotator works but once you press the button on the remote it will not stop turning unless you shut the whole thing off. There seems be some play in the the rotator as a mild wind shakes it enough to drop signal briefly.
Overall......it works and it DOES pick up my local programming. Disappointed with the range issues and the power rotator but maybe I can live with it. After all it was only a little over 60 bucks.

I bought a similar product a few years back and loved it. This one is smaller and works better. The quality is excellent for the price and the pieces screw together very solidly. Assembly is quick and uncomplicated and you cannot put it together incorrectly - except that you need to open the antenna arms before you slide the front antenna into the main unit (that step was missing from the instructions). Another improvement on the design is that the antenna automatically reverses direction at a particular point so it will never wrap your cable around your mounting pole - this was a problem when you could not see the antenna and it rotated 360 degrees.
At a lower signal power, as reported by my television, the digital signal remains clear so most days I don't have to adjust the antenna to get all my channels clearly.
Well worth the money!!!

Received this today....easy set up and now I can even get my own local station that I could NEVER get with the other brands of antenna's.
I have purchased many other INDOOR antenna's that never worked well in this area.
The remote works great, I set this up on my wooden fence with no problems. I didn't want to climb up on my roof so I tried the fence and it works.
Fast delivery, good quality (light) in weight, picks up stations I could never get with the other brands.
Clear HD reception with NO pixel effects like the other brands of antenna's.
Remember, it depends on where you live and how many stations are provided in that area the antenna can pick up, areas may differ with
reception.
Its a trial and error I had to do with many antenna's and this gave me the best results.
I would recommend this product to try out
I even purchased the extra "protection plan" for and extra $10 for 3 years since this antenna was so low cost to begin with, it just made sense.
I give it a 5 star in my case.

Originally I had an indoor antenna (for a few channels), then I bought this one and also had bought a $250 was bestbuy (the sales rep said if it wasn't better than the other ones I could return it). In comparing this one to the bestbuy $200+tax one, this ~$50 blows it out of the water! Both outdoor antennas got me the missing CTV2 and CITY channels, but I never could get continuous pictures on them with bestbuys. This ViewTV delivered! Perfect signal on all of them plus some signal on American towers (although they are out of range... but detectable now). Glad I could take the tiger one back, as this order saved me $200 and delivered more power!
The COax camber is amplified, and you can point it with a remote control! I just set my TiVo to antenna signal strength mode, on the channel I wanted to turn, a few pushes of a button and it's perfect!
The only con I have is that the remote control buttons (2 buttons) do not appear just to be left and right. I think I just need to read how that works, but sometimes the same button switches to being the other direction. It also would be nice to have an inside control box indicate when it's at max one...

We decided to "cut the cord" and eliminate our cable TV package and DVR. We also had a "land line" associated with our cable account. All of this was about $135/mo.
My first attempt was a small indoor flat panel antenna bought locally and it just could not get reliable signal from the nearest TV stations about 45 miles away when mounted in a window on the side of the house facing the TV station transmitter. My TV has an on screen signal strength meter and the flat panel antenna would register about 45% and in the rain even less to the point the reception was unusable.
When I searched Amazon for a better antenna this looked like it might be more than was needed but the price was not much more than the flat panel antenna that I returned. I did not want to have another failure so this seemed like a good solution. I first connected this antenna and rested it on a chair pointing out the window where the flat panel was mounted inside. The signal strength was immediately about 65% so I knew this would be much better.
I mounted it outside on some steel conduit that rests on the ground and is bolted to the eve of our one story house. I added a...
