Joyce M.: I ordered 2 of these in black. The light is a good white light. They were easy to put together and I am not mechanically inclined. I am praying for the best, that they last 5 years or so. I have a Verilux light with replaceable bulb and it is still wonderful. These 2 new floor lamps do not have replaceable bulb and I knew that before ordering. I was going to fill out the registration card and called customer service about where to find the serial number. The guy that answered did not know what a serial number was nor where to find it. He was no help in any way. He said it is on the light. I found model number under base of unit. There is another number under the base that may be the serial number. I took a point off my rating due to poor customer service.

Erehwon: Purchased to replace a similar lamp that last about 5 years. This Verilux seems to be a much better lamp at the same price point. Assembly is not complex but tricky. You have to run the low voltage cord through two vertical lamp poles. Being a low weight cord, it tends to get hung up inside the poles. Numerous efforts may be required. Also, the fit and finish on the threads isn't great, so some effort is required to get the threads started properly. Someone with limited strength and dexterity may require assistance to assemble this. Good brightness and color adjustability. Time will tell about how durable it is.

I'd been looking for a while, since my other lamp by the side of my bed was falling away. This lamp met my criteria-- unobtrusive in color and design for next to my bed. And the buttons, go up or down on the amount of light needed. These lights are so flat, when I turn them off at night, there are no clicking sounds to awake anyone else already asleep.

Jim K.: This is a great light for reading or close work. It also works well as a general room light. There are multiple settings for brightness or to be dimmer, and also for shades of color. I’ve been very happy with this lamp (I have two in my house) ….until it broke. The lamp stand became loose from the base and couldn’t be reconnected. The lamp worked but was wobbly. In desperation, I called Verilux customer service. It was an excellent experience. I was able to find my original Amazon order and my lamp will be replaced at no charge. Ann in customer service was very helpful. I recommend Verilux, and this lamp.

Tara S.: It's a directed light that is perfect for reading and task work. No heat because it uses leds. The three colour settings are very nice to have, although the Warm setting is too orange for my liking. It will not light up an entire room; it's really meant for directed light. The base is nice and heavy, making the lamp quite sturdy! Very easy to assemble.
