Runethia: Half of our tiny one bedroom apartment is the living room. Apparently from the 1950's onward, the large living room overtook the large kitchen as the home's center. Unless you're a very social family having company over a lot, this can be a waste of space. We like large kitchen gatherings best. This wonderful lamp is making lighting up even the largest space fun and easy. We can move it anywhere it's needed, dim it for reading, or flood light for cleaning. The pole is light-weight. The small remote has a magnetized home on the lamp pole, or can be kept on any flat surface near you. Definitely a win/win and totally recommended.

BBCReview: These are the super awesome (and very affordable) floor lamps I use at home. I hate ordinary floor lamps that blind you unless they have a dark shade. But with the dark shade, floor lamps don't give off much light. These work a different way.
These lamps bounce a powerful beam of LED light off the ceiling, and give you bright (but not harsh) lighting all over your room. The bounce helps the light spread out so that there is no harsh shadow.
For your space, you would want 3 or 4 of these. Each comes with a remote control that lets you contol the power (brightness), and the color temperature (yellowish, white, bluish). I like the bluish a lot.
Easy to set up, takes about 5 minutes a light to unpack and get running. Trouble-free after that. I totally recommend these. If your ceiling is anything but black, they should work for you very well. Just look up to see what color your ceiling is painted.
PS - these can be tilted to bounce off a wall, and work very well that way too. Key idea is that the bounced light spreads out very smoothly. Makes it nice for computer work, no glare or reflections.

Doug BDoug B: I previously had a halogen bulb torch lamp for years which finally died. It made the room super hot and often had a burning smell because of all the insects, dust, and other debris that would land on the top of the halogen bulb. When it died, I knew I would try a LED type lamp. After looking at all of the reviews, I selected this Joofo lamp and I've never been happier.

First of all, it gives of ZERO heat which is great, especially in the warmer months. The top is completely flat and makes it easy to clean, even though nothing that lands on top will give off a smell because it generates no heat. The magnetic remote is great and let's you control brightness, color, and on/off but most of the time I just leave it stuck to the side of the lamp post as shown and just turn it off and on as I like the settings I currently have. You can tilt the top of the lamp to be flat as shown, or point it a certain direction but I like keeping it flat to give maximum illumination of the room. At maximum brightness, it lights up the room pretty well, but I usually keep it at around 75% and sometimes turn it down lower if I'm watching a movie or something but still want a little light in the...
