We heard about the possible mold issue but we bought it to understand that we would wipe it off after use. 14 months later, black started forming in the grain of the wood. :-( This product is truly not meant to be in the shower. Don't buy, We Did, Now we wish we hadn't!

tom traynor: Ordered for use with our infrared sauna. Easy to assemble, although I got a little ahead of myself assembling it (even with clear instructions.). You can tell right out of the box how good of quality this item is by the clearly marked pieces, weight/feel of material and good instructions. Footstool fit perfect in our infrared sauna. I researched this brand and it has great reviews.

KC: This was easy to assembe and came with al parts. One of the pre-drilled holes in the footstool was misaligned so the screw would not go in - we re-aligned the hole with a drill. This would be an issue for those who do not have tools. Otherwise the product is nice and sheds water nicely so works well for shower.

Helena: It was extremely easy to assemble, done in 10 minutes. The finish over the bamboo is thick and glossy and each piece was well packaged and undamaged. Was not expecting to be nearly as satisfied with it as I am. The foot rest is a bit slippery, but since I tested it with a sock on, that’s to be expected. Draped a towel over it and that worked well. I’m sure it will not be as slippery on a bare foot. The bench was a perfect height to kneel on (I’m currently in a leg cast, hence the purchase) and also to sit on and it’s compact size fit perfectly in my shower stall. Seems quite sturdy too, which is something I worried about before purchasing it.
I’d actually recommend this as a purchase for anyone!

Martha S.: This is a really nice shower bench. Well made and definitely waterproof. Easy to assemble. Looks great in the shower. The bench is study and comfortable to sit on. Also a good height to use to prop your let up on to shave you legs. You will like this shower bench.

Mary Memphis: I needed a small bench to use for shaving my legs in the shower. At age 68 I finally decided balancing myself on one leg was not such a good idea anymore! I'm not sure the footstool will be used in the shower due to the available space. But it can be utilized anywhere and probably will be used in the house or on our lovely screened in patio. The bench was so easy to assemble with the L-wrenches provided. The nuts are doubled up for durability. The finish on the teakwood is beautiful. It is exactly as presented online. If you need something for safety in the shower, to sit on for bathing, etc. don't hesitate. It is such a reasonable price but is worth much more than that. Thank you for such a lovely product.

LaToddrea: I too had a little trouble assembling the bench; my box came with all four legs labeled B instead of two Bs and two Cs. The legs all looked the same to me, so I put it together anyway. Oddly enough, two of the legs don’t appear to be cut properly, so it was hard getting them screwed in and even with the other two (perhaps there is a difference then? Idk). I did the best I could. The bench was a little wobbly when I first sat it on the floor after assembly, however some kind of way it evened out once I sat it in the shower. It looks good; does what it’s supposed to do. Now I don’t have to perform a balancing act when reaching down in the shower. Overall, it seems like a decent product.
