Michael Boisclair: This book was required for a health and wellness coach course I took at the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. It was one of the most useful books and easy to understand for the lay person. Well worth the money and how it can improve your health. Dr. Sears is very knowledgeable and has done an amazing job putting together this useful information. Buy it, follow it, and transform your health and life!!

Diane K: Direct and easy to read; love this book. Has simple to look up lists and sections, making it easy to find what you want and use the info. Agree with most of what he says; like eating clean and getting weight and cardio into our day. Also, the lists are direct and even though most of this is common sense, it's good to see it in print, paste it up on the fridge, and follow it. Since reading this book I have gone more plant based in my eating and buy organic, hormone free and anything that shouldn't be in my food I pass on. Just got a great blood work back from my Primary who inquired what am I doing differently. My lab work came back with numbers like a teenager. Low sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure. Very encouraging for someone over 65. Oh yeah!

Scott: There are many health books around but certain books deserve more hype than others. "Prime-Time Health" being one of them. An easy to read, fact filled from A to Z. Dr. Sears covers many great facts that are on everyone's mind when it comes to health.
This book covers anything from Heart Disease, to reversing bone loss, to losing weight and staying fit. Topics are endless and easily understood. Prime-Time Health explores new thinking and old thinking of Health today. Dr. Sears also provides an "8-week healthy-aging" program that will help you boost your health and energy. Today everyone wants to feel younger and live longer and Dr.Sears tells you just how to do that. Dr. Sears implements the "LEAN" (Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition) method which this book goes by. With this book you will have a better understanding of where fat comes from, and how to get rid of it, how blood pressure and blood sugars work, and how to prevent diseases. Whether you're 5 or 70, there's enough information for all the age groups. Reduce your stress and sharpen your thinking with these great tips.

seeker: I have read many self-help books on dieting or health in general and this is the best. I would describe it as having unlimited access to a doctor who not only is knowlegeable but is an ideal communicator. The writing includes a wealth of material on every aspect of maintaining health as you age, all science-based. The emphasis is on proactive things the reader can do to improve your probablities of living well and as long as possible, with emphasis on the former. The book does not fall into the trap of so many self-help books of claiming some "magic bullet" cure for all your problems. It is clear that the author has spent many years giving commonsense advice to thousands of patients. Though there are no false claims, I felt excited reading the book because I thought the advice was so rooted in the best up-to-date knowledge available. It made sense to me.
Best of all, you can't lose by following the advice given. If you eat "real food" and improve your body chemistry, resulting in a better future for your heart and digestion, you are likely to lose weight. Everything in the book seems interrelated in this way, exercise, diet, sleep, etc., etc. If dieting is your goal and you...
