RoadTripCamper: In my quest to fix my back troubles, I ran across a video about foam rollers so of course, I immediately searched Amazon and discovered a plethora of options! Not knowing what I was really doing, I chose a giant neon green wheel the first time, based on the hilarious positive reviews it received. I have no idea what they loved about that torturous piece of equipment, but I sent it back the next day. Next, I tried a black one. Remember, I didn't really know what I was doing so I chose a color I wouldn't mind laying around my living room. I could've just as well bought a piece of pvc pipe because that sucker was HARD. Little did I know that they were color coded and that's how it was supposed to be. Back it went too. I mentioned this to my physical therapist who then showed me some options and one of them was this one. Feeling a little like Goldilocks at this point, I really hoped it would be the one and it sure is!
The grey foam is a nice texture that is not too hard, not too soft...just right for a beginner foam roller. You can start off rolling with a side that has bigger grid pattern that is less aggressive and then work your way up to the side that has the smaller grid....

I like that it has some give and the ridges. The diameter is perfect for me. the diameter is just under 18 inches. 18x18. IT really helps my back to "Roll" daily.
