A.C.: I gave this 4 stars because it DOES indicate that it's EXTRA FIRM and it lives up to that -- HOWEVER, for our intended purposes, our personal rating would have been one star because we found it WAY TOO FIRM to be able to be used, was too painful to lie on it. This was for a young adult male, and he tried it numerous times but said there was no getting used to it and it was too painful to his spine to lie on it so he was unable to do the needed stretches and exercises. We returned it and they were great about processing the return and the refund. No complaints there. We went with one that was not so firm and that one works great for him. If you need something super firm and rigid, this is the one for you!

Diana: I purchased this product for my son who likes to 'crack' his back. This is excellent for that - giving him the release.
This roller is VERY hard, dont expect any give in it.

Amazon customer: Works perfect. Not entirely sure how durability. Realize that is the complaint made by some. Time will tell. LOVE the price though. And thought if I need a new one after a year, because I USE this one SOOO much, I'll buy a new one when the time comes IF I NEED it. But for this price. this one is WORTH a shot. Perfect for beginners. And if like me, you are not sure if you will stick with is...you know it's good for you, recommended, but just like many work out type things they get thrown to the way side. SO why not start cheap with a PERFECTLY good one, and work your way up if it becomes a favorite in like 3 years if this one goes! BUY it! Try it out! It's prefect to just try out. As recommended by my chiropractor. I'm having major lower back pain and going in 2 times a week currently. I'm hoping this will help stretch it out daily, if I do my exercises and begin loosening the muscles. I can tell it's working already. AS long as I actually do it. So it's reliant upon me. Not the item. Item is good quality. Not high end. But is guaranteed for a year. I got the 6" 18" one and thats good enough for me at $11. No complaints here! :)
