SI-285: I like the two dedicated charging only ports. The low-profile design makes it easy to integrate into your workspace. The top power button is convenient and the led indicator above each USB port makes it easy to tell the status of the ports. I would buy again...

pchilenski: It's a hub, only important thing to mention is this works great with my Synology 923+ NAS after getting rid of any partitions the NAS does not recognize. Have 5 Mediasonic Raid enclosures hooked up working well with this hub with ntfs, btrfs, ext4 partitions only. Good speed as well.

Duvis: The device upholds the high quality and reliability that is characteristic of the brand. I've been using this hub for several months and so far, everything works as it should. Its design is appealing and operates just as one would expect. While the side charging ports do allow for device charging, the speed is somewhat slower compared to a dedicated charger. A feature I appreciate is that all its ports are USB 3.0; when transferring files, it has proven to be efficient.

Ivan: I had bought this product for a new computer I had built and from the get go I had some problems with connecting USB's into it and them staying connected to my computer. For the longest time I had assumed it was my computer being buggy and just not being properly updated, but it turns out that it was a compatibility issue. The description of the product says that this hub is compatible with Windows/MacOS and Linux, but what it fails to mention is that if you are using Windows, you need to be using Windows versions between 7 and 10. I'm a Windows 11 user and the whole time I was under the assumption that it would be compatible with my that version of windows when in fact it isn't and even says so on the box. This info is not anywhere on the page so just be aware of that.
Anyway, the Product itself is built extremely well and even works well on a laptop I tested it on that is running Windows 10 Home. If it was not for the lack of such an important piece of information on the product page then I would have rated this 5 stars. If you are still wanting this hub specifically and are running a Windows 11 computer, TP-Link actually sells an exact version like this on their website...

alexander semyanovsky: I have to switch frequently between my working laptop and workstation at my desk. Not only it was annoying to switch a multitude of cables, but also my motherboards ports started to wear down over time. On top of that, my devices frequently failed due to high power drain. I went through a couple of non-powered hubs, but they either did not power all devices or were overheating and whistling. However, once I bought this thing never had a single problem. Currently have keyboard, mouse, microphone, web camera, headset, wireless receiver, 2 USB chargers plugged in, all working like clock. I went into bios a couple of times, so hub works pretty well even without drivers. Nice thing, the hub has LEDs to indicate if port connection is good, so I can see if I a cable is not plugged in properly, instead of examining which cable is which. I also bought a second USB 3.0 Micro-B cable and so I can easily switch between my workstations without having to stress my motherboard ports. Things to keep in mind is unusual USB 3.0 Micro-B cable to connect the hub itself, also high power ports do not transfer files and do not support quick charge as far as I can tell. These issues are minor to me, so I...

Marco: 4 STARS for this product only because I still need to validate its longevity before I can give it a 5th. Only had it for a couple weeks, but long story short, this unit delivered 100% overall. But I will warn people about one specific problem I experienced but it was resolved simply.
My wireless Anker mouse immediately stopped working when the hub powered-up. The Anker mouse fob was already inserted into a USB3 port at the back of my PC and the TP-Link hub was located about 12 inches below it on the desk. As soon as I powered-off the hub, the mouse worked again. So I pulled the mouse fob out of the back of the PC and moved it over to the USB3 port located at the front of the PC: that fixed the problem immediately - hasn't happened since. This kind of interference is a common issue with some 2.4GHz wireless devices which another reviewer gratefully pointed out (thanks!)
If anything, I do wish that each USB3 port could be turned off and on independently given the fact that flash drives have only so many power cycles in them. I have 5 thumb drives inserted into this unit but I don't need all of them to run every time I turn on the PC. But I knew that going in so that's...

Christopher M.Christopher M.: 1. Unit is rock solid in both, performance and build construction.
2. The Power and USB Connector interface was redesigned. A tight interference fitment = zero issues.
3. Been using this since October 2021 24/7 on a 2014.5 Macbook Pro Retina with zero issues
4. The speed / port speed checks out
5. The two charging ports charge an iPod Classic 160GB as well as stylus pens and small USB desk lamps.
6. Tested on a 2014.5 Macbook Pro Retina running OSX 10.15.3 and Boot Camp running Windows 10
7. Running memory cards affixed into a USB Media Transfer Hub works flawless and just as good as directly mated to the MBP Laptop Port.
8. Even running an iPod works fine - the computer sees it without asking to connect it directly to the MBP.
9. Garmin Diesel 740Z mated up charged without issue and was later connected without issue when running firmware and map updates. *See Note
10. Firmware updates for the Kinesis keyboard - no issues when connected to the USB Hub. ** See Note
* ** NOTE: As a rule of thumb here: I don't recommend getting into the habit of running firmware updates while attached to a Hub. My default recommendation is mating to the laptop ports...
