Ellie: I loved this thing until I upgraded to a 60 Hz external monitor. This only supports up to 30 Hz refresh rate for my laptop (2020 M1 Macbook Air), but other than that, I love it. My roommates and I usually keep it hooked up to the TV so we can play Jackbox on it, and it works great. I haven't had any problems with it malfunctioning at all or breaking. I could have my charger, my monitor, and a USB plugged into it with no lag, overheating, or other problems. It also matched the color of my laptop which I appreciated. It's really easy to travel with. I leave my adapter that supports a 60 Hz refresh rate at home and I take this instead, and it works just the same. I bought this about 9 months ago now and it works as if I bought it yesterday still. If you're looking for an adapter that doesn't have any cords that can twist, fray, or break, this is a perfect alternative.

You can still charge your laptop with this plugged in as it has a USB-C specifically for the power cable.

Tricia: I spent 2 whole days looking for the right USB-C hub for my newly purchased M1 Macbook Air. I wanted something truly compatible with the Macbook, and something that would last me for a long time. Although there are definitely many more cheaper options out there, they don't seem exclusively compatible with the Macbook. This USB-C hub is definitely a staple I will be using everyday as I WFH - for my mouse, keyboard, monitor and more.

The hub's design is really well thought out - and not to mention the thoughtfulness of the matching colours with my Macbook (albeit a small shade off, but that's a minor thing), as well as the lovely leather protective case to store the hub in case I need to bring it with me.

Looking forward to use this for a long time to come! Solid buy, considering how if you'd purchased one that was $20-30 but wouldn't last for long, and you would have to replace them - this is definitely much more worth your time and money.

Pude transferir información usando usb 3.0 y usb-c de 5gb/s entre discos duros y esto lo realizo a buena velocidad, lector de tarjetas super bien y para proyectar en un monitor externo funciona bastante bien ya que cuenta con su entrada hdmi, es un buen producto ya que te ayuda a tener mas opciones de conectividad. Soy Diseñador Gráfico y necesitaba contar con mayor cantidad de entradas para conectar Monitor, Wacom, SSD y poderla cargar al mismo tiempo y con este HUB se puede realizar sin problemas... El único detalle que le encontré y creo por ser un producto nuevo es que cuesta un poco de trabajo desconectar los usb 3.0.

P P.P P.: The sole purpose of buying this product was to give the much needed ports to my newly bought M1, Apple
MacBook Pro 13" (2020). After using this product for the past week (reasonable delivery time - although the
package probably came from the US), I can say the following:

+ The product arrived well packed and has a carry pouch to store the adapter when not in use.
+ The two USB3 ports are well spaced and work all my devices very well when attached.
+ The HDMI port on the end of the adapter well as to be expected on onmy 1080p TV - Don't have a 4K TV
to test the HDMI connection.
+ The usb-c port and the card reader slots also work well.

- The Thunderbolt3/USB-C port - I have tried it with a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 Adaptor in
series with Thunderbolt 2 to Firewire 800 adaptor and then connected my Firewire SSD Enclosure to this.
This tried because I have a Firewire enclosure contained a 2Tb HDD and the product specifications imply
that this port is a Thunderbolt 3 port and can give 40Gb/s Data speeds. For some reason the adaptor/hub
raised a low power error on my MacBook pro. When I removed the Adaptor/Hub and directly...

Robert J WhiteRobert J White: After searching far & wide for a USB-C hub for my MacBook Pro I found this one on Amazon. The reviews told a good story so I bought it. No regrets as of now. But. A few points should be noted before you take the plunge & buy it yourself should you be looking for a USB-C hub.

Ooohs & Ahhhs;
- The design is very Apple like in appearance & form factor. Once it’s nestled into the side of the MacBook it looks like a natural extension of it.
- The connectivity options cover just about any need you could have minus the caveat that only one of the USB C ports provides power which seems like a strange omission.
- NO BRANDING! When will these accessory makers learn that while I respect their company & appreciate what they’ve designed I don’t like those ugly logos all over it. It’s enough that I paid for your product I don’t need to advertise it for you as well. The product will speak for itself & trust me if it works as you’ve declared we’ll give all the word of mouth recommendations you need. So kudos to Purgo for hiding the logo on the bottom. Out of sight out of mind.
- I like the small leather sleeve included to keep the dock safe...

Josh LJosh L: I've been using this with an M1 equipped MacBook Air, and so far the experience has been very positive.

All metal build quality and the finish and color matches the laptop closely. For reference, I have a Space Gray MacBook Air, and the Gray version of this adapter. They are very, very close in color, only off by a very slight shade at very particular angles, but close enough to pass as official! See pictures.

I also like that Purgo hasn't chosen to brand the device with a huge ugly logo. The branding is only on the bottom of the unit while connected (to the left side), so kudos for maintaining the nice clean aesthetic.

All this wouldn't mean a thing if it didn't work properly, of course.

Thankfully in my tests so far, it has performed as expected. I'm able to easily connect USB flash drives, and external drive, power cable (on the clearly marked USB-C plug that supports power delivery) and did some imports from my SD cards into Adobe Lightroom, at the same speed (or faster?) than my full size iMac with a built-in SD slot. I haven't been able to test the HDMI out yet, but the cable that I have around my desk fits nicely. I'll update with test results if...
