G. Hillis: I wanted a hub with a USB-C port and separate cable rather than a permanently affixed one that will eventually fail and turn the device into eWaste. I need one that will handle 100 watts, which narrowed selection a lot. Some of the hubs are outrageously expensive. In order of importance to me, it handles power delivery properly, has a decent number of USB ports that are nicely marked as to their capabilities, Ethernet, has an SD and microSD slot, and some video ports.
The case is plastic and shows scuffs and rubs that might not show on a metal cased hub, I use this in and out of a backpack; it wouldn't be a problem sitting on the desk. It is only visible if the light hits it from the right angle, so it doesn't bother me, but it might bother some people.

James Johnston: I needed to plug two HDMI monitors into this dock that had two DisplayPort and one HDMI connectors. The HDMI port and USB ports for keyboard/mouse on the dock all worked correctly.
Unfortunately, I was not successful in using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to drive a second monitor. Connecting a monitor via DisplayPort works to the dock, but using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter does not. Using the adapters from a DisplayPort connection directly on a laptop to HDMI also worked. However, the combination of using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter with this particular dock does not work.
I tried two different adapters:
* Amazon Basics DisplayPort to HDMI Display Cable, Uni-Directional, 4k@60Hz, 1920x1200, 1080p, Gold-Plated Plugs, 3 Foot, Black.
*** With this adapter, the laptop did not see any external monitor at all.
* Plugable Active DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter, Driverless Connect Any DisplayPort-Enabled PC or Tablet to an HDMI Monitor, TV or Projector for Ultra-HD Streaming (HDMI 2.0 up to 4K 3840x2160 @60Hz)
*** With this adapter, the laptop did see an external monitor, so it looks like EDID was working. However, attempting to enable that monitor from...

KaiserKaiser: The amount of ports and performance for the price is unmatchable. Yes, the caveat is the low quality USB-C cable, which will have to be replaced. As an IT guy, I can tell you that most dockings with no integrated USB-C cable have the same issue, even top brands. Either the manipulation or low quality of the cable will drive you to replace it eventually, but good news, there are plenty of good quality cables for about 20 bucks, then there you go. Try getting an USB 4 cable, 100w. You can use the cable provided with the docking as a charging cable for other devices.
Another very important and often overlooked part is the PD charger. It must be 100w minimum, and preferably higher. Keep in mind the laptop will take half or more of the juice, then make sure you have enough room for your video and peripheral devices. Recommendation could be the 120W USB C Charger, oraimo GaN Charger.

Tech Lover: Like other reviews, I experienced the flickering across my monitors. The solution was to replace the supplied USB C cable with another brand (in my case, I had a spare Thunderbolt 3 cable) and that seemed to have fixed the problem. While the price drop made it appealing, buying another cable offsets the value proposition. That being said, it does meet all my needs (VGA output, audio, 3 monitors, etc.) but consider yourself warned about the additional cost for a new USB C (or Thunderbolt 3) cable.

Raymond Gaytan: I've had this dock for several months, and have used it for both a work computer (Lenovo ThinkPad) and a personal computer (Mac Book Pro with M1 Chip), using the provided USB-C cord to connect each computer to the dock, which then connects to an HP U32 Monitor. I've had no issues when connected to the Lenovo, but when connecting my Mac, the screen would intermittently go black and then come back. It was super frustrating, but it happened constantly, making it difficult to focus. A week ago, I swapped out the provided USB-C cable and replaced it with the ridiculously expensive Apple Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable ($129), and the flickering issues when my Mac is connected have completely stopped. So, if you're experiencing the same, make sure your computer-to-dock connection has at least the same specs of the Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable.

SKBorders: I am using this with a Gen 1 Lenovo Thinkbook with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor. The docking station is a nice size and has multiple monitor support including 2 Displayports. If you are using it on an AMD Ryzen Processor, you will need a 100w power supply or the screen will blink off whenever you open a program due to the power it takes to run the laptop and drive the monitors. The other problem I have is, even though I have the laptop set to never sleep, it will shut off after an extended period and I have to open it and press the power button to turn it on, then unplug and replug the cable to the docking station for the Laptop to reconnect. It is not a perfect solution, but it is also not $300 like the Lenovo Docking station. Overall, a good value.
UPDATE. After a month with this "docking station" it is just not a good solution. Even with a 100 watt power supply, the displays keep turning off and on periodically. Besides making it hard to get anything done, it cannot be called a docking station if it doesn't work correctly. The other problem is when you leave the computer on, after a period of time, the docking station turns itself off, and so the laptop goes to sleep too....

DubsonicDubsonic: I purchased this blindly, not realizing so many people were having the same annoying flickering issue between external monitors that I was having.
My Setup: Lenovo T15 laptop paired with two external Dell 1080p monitors (24” & 27”)
The flickering began when Initially, I had docked 1 HDMI and 1 DP port to the device, so I decided to try two DP’s instead, same resulting issue. I then decided to swap out the provided USB-C cable with my own braided after-market one (USB 3.1 Gen2 Cable UNAMAK) and the flickering had completely ceased.
All in all, a user shouldn’t have to perform this kind of troubleshooting out of the box, and judging by the number of complaints this isn’t an isolated incident. I hope Lazuney utilizes this information and swaps out their provided cable with something a little more robust. This should help a lot of frustrated customers.
Pros:
☺ Value
☺ Number of ports
Cons:
☹ Finiky
☹ Poor quality USB-C cable provided with the unit
Overall: With its aggressive price point of about $100 less than a lot of competitors, there is still good value to be found here. However, the unreliable USB-C...

The 16 Bit Gamer: ---A Year Later Review---
My original review is bellow. But I've used this device for about a year now, and plan to continue using it going forward. So much that I bought a second one.
But it's not because this was the best option available. In my opinion there are better devices on the market, especially for the $100 it sells for.
However when I bought my second one, it was on sale for $50. And for $50 I genuinely cannot complain. It works with my Intel Laptop, my Surface Go and my iPad Pro. It charges my devices and acts as a USB and display hub, and is so useful for desktop setups that need to be portable.
But this is true for any USB-C Hub. What benefits I found with this one specifically is the USB-C PD input, rather than a proprietary connector, making it last longer on paper.
Which is why my opinion changes. For $100, I can't easily recommend it, ports are all over the place and it isn't the easiest to setup, but for $50 it's perfect for anyone who needs it. Especially since it gives you $50 to spend on a good DC Charger for it.
---Original Review---
I got this device as a hub to connect my devices to my main TV, so just using the...

Sven Schumacher: Bought this initially for my thinkpad E595 but it does not recognize the additional displays. USB works fine. Bought a genuine Lenovo docking station and works fine. Perhaps it's not supported. Supposed to work on samsung phones too - it won't. Either it was faulty or just not working. Still giving 5 stars because the price is right and lots of USB ports. Also feels nice and sits stable on the table or under a monitor.
