Amazon Customer: I bought this to provide a faster wired Ethernet connection to a laptop that didn't have an Ethernet port. Before using the product, I had ~52 Mbps upload and download through WiFi, but that increased to ~92 Mbps upload and download after connecting. Depending on network load and speed, I believe that this hub should be able to provide even faster transfer speeds.

The only real downsides are that it can sometimes take a couple seconds to recognize the Ethernet connection, and that not all of the ports on the hub can be used at once. However, I think these slight drawbacks are quite minor.

Doug: I may have been trying to do something with this adapter that was unconventional so it may work fine in normal situations. I was trying to connect a older monitor (with a VGA connector) into a newer computer via its USB plug. When I did this the video didn't transfer. NOTE: when I plugged it into the USB-C plug into the computer it transferred the video fine. I solved this problem by buying a VGA to HDMI adaptor and HDMI into the computer. I believe this adapter would have worked fine in a conventional connection.

Rob B.: Nice 9-1 adapter than clears my desks clutter... although the attached wire is only 150mm (6") in length. I’m currently using the HDMI port, USB 3, audio jack, ethernet, and USB charging port. I’ve tested the ethernet and USB speeds which seem to do as well as a native ports.

I have noticed that my laptop des not always recognise the audio jack when re-booting the machine, and switches back to the built in speakers. I have not had time to trouble shoot it, but it usually switches back to the external sound jack after unplugging and re-plugging the unit.

Vishalendu Pandey: I was a little circumspect given the comparatively less cost of this product. I thought it was made in India but its made in China, just reconfirmed.

So far it seems to be working fine, i am able to connect USB,Ethernet and HDMI to this hub and it works fine connected to my Mac or Windows laptops. I have not used it for power delivery or the USB-C connection. It doesnt get very hot, but I keep it well ventilated.

No issues so far, but we have to see if this still works 6 months later, since I have had issues with smaller hubs before...

Devon Agard: This is an update of my old review at the bottom. The seller reached out and sent a replacement that is working fine. I changed my rating to 4 stars. Would have been 5 stars if the first one did not fail but what can you do. Customer service is really good though. Did not expect them to reach out but they did and that has to be commended. Hope this one lasts because it really is a handy product to have.

I bought this mainly to extend my surface display to and external monitor via the VGA port. The device worked fine for like 3 - 4 weeks. Now it has a lot of connection problems and a "device cannot be recognized" constantly pops up when it does work.

Syammie: The connection cord is too short drains the use of the device to low. Believe me, you will be disappointed with the way the cord length is provided here.

It started as a order that unfortunately never came due to Amazon logistics meaning the package was either lost or damaged in route. Naturally I was bummed as I use this for business, a day later a representative from the store named Martina asked politely, ( they didn't know either, Amazon just sent it back to them) "what was the reason for the refund and how could they do better? "
Right away I was impressed, because well let's be honest how often do you get effort like that these days? Or a follow up question like that because someone in customer service & business actually cared? That great business. From there I explained , well I don't really have any feedback since it never got to me which was no fault of their own, accidents happen. However after Martina heard that and it was Amazon's call to return the item or deem it "undeliverable", Martina issued me that refund immediately, and sent me out a free unit rush delivery for the time it took away from my work being I paid for rush delivery initially and was on a deadline. LAPi: Si adquiriste este dispositivo para usarlo en un equipo M1, no actualices a Monterey, si ya tienes Monterey, no lo compres porque no va a funcionar.

Antes de Monterey, funcionaba excelente, muy buen hub.

JP: Me sorprendió el tamaño, pensé que sería más grande, pero es muy portátil (Además incluye una bolsita). No he hecho uso de todos los puertos, pero el de Ethernet, VGA, HDMI y los USB funcionan bien. El único aspecto que no me agradó es que el cable es muy corto, y si tu laptop está sobre una base, el HUB quedará colgando en el aire.
