Amazon Customer: Bought it for my MacBook. Works great as a USB A and HDMI adaptor. The only downside is that the bolt of the hub doesn't seem to bite tightly with the USB C sockets on my MacBook, though it never actually comes off by itself.

THE CMC WB: This Multiport hub is absolutely necessary with my SP8 due to only having USB-C ports. I have used it to connect multiple devices at once and to transfer data from one device to another. Seamless transfer and connectivity between devices.

A.Z.A.Z.: This hub has worked out great as an inexpensive way of "docking" my Razer Blade 14. Passthrough charging works great. I leave my desktop peripherals connected to the hub and all I need to do is connect the hub's single cable and my laptop is ready to go. I've been using a 43" TV as a monitor recently, so I Velcroed a USB-C hub to the back of the TV. Now I have a one cable solution to easily use my laptop with my desk setup. One thing to keep in mind is this hub outputs 4K video at 30Hz. So if you're using a hi resolution display, 30Hz will be the max refresh rate coming out of the HDMI port. I'd definitely recommend this hub for use when traveling or at a desk.

Satana: I bought this item lured by the combined presence of a USB-C in + two USB-C out, one of which is supposed to deliver up to 100W, effectively transforming the dongle in a charging node. This feature would have allowed me to considerably reduce cable cluttering on my Dell XPS15. However, albeit the 100W does a relatively decent job in charging the laptop (which is 130W native), it miserably fails on delivering relative to very basic charging capabilities of the other USB-C door. Charging of a recent mobile phone (Samsung FE20) is unviable. According to actual readings, a 50% remaining battery translates into a whopping recharging time of 3h and 41m.

Nice aluminum construction. Good port selection (3 x USB-A 3.0, 1 x USB-A 2.0, 1 x USB-C 3.1) plus USB-C power passthrough and HDMI. Good hub if you don't need SD and TF card readers.
