Sarah: Got this as a gag gift for our friend who loves Spam and jokes on us... he actually really likes it. In fact we all did. In all honesty there are some really good looking recipes in this book.. and I'm not a huge fan of Spam. I'd try almost anything out of this book... oh and the quality of this book, layout, photo quality is seriously nice.

Huge Spam fan from fried Spam and eggs, to fried Spam and Alphagetti, Spam Ramen but favorite is Musabi!

The cookbook has over 100 recipes, each with a photograph of the resultant repast and the instructions are both clear and very easy to follow. As a SPAM cookbook, the recipes hit all the right notes.
However, for me, there is a glaring, most bizarre editorial decision that I feel I have to put up front and centre: the index.
I'll get to that in a moment ... on the front cover are four recipe ideas, the largest of which is SPAM Fries. (The others are SPAM Musubi, SPAM Fried Rice and SPAM Monkey Bread.) Now I've been chopping up SPAM into thin slices and frying them for years -- and I guess you'd call them SPAM fries -- but I was curious this morning as to how *they* recommended doing it.
