Kelly: I had high hopes for this air cooler but unfortunately, it only lasted less 3 days. It started spitting out water, even though it was not overfilled.

The water compartment is in the bottom with very little space for your hand (if you need to clean it or even retrieve the ice packs).

It was more of a chore than anything else. Filling it with cold water just doesn't cut it, but adding a lot of ice made a huge difference. It actually cooled my son's room which is the hottest room in the house. I found myself constantly adding more ice. At night I'm so paranoid that it will run out of water/ice because it only seemed to last under 5 hours so I needed to make an effort to wake up just to add more ice. If you let it run out of water, it could damage it.

I ended up returning it.

Kaitlyn: I have it a 4 simply because the assembly was a little rough- you have to use screws to connect the fan to the base but there are no threads on the plastic so a drill is necessary. Ours came with a tear on the fabric material that protects the filter. The remote buttons are not labeled or programmed correctly so if you click "power" on the remote it won't turn on you have to click the "swing" button to power it on or off so the remote is useless in my opinion. Other than those quirks it works great and does seem to last a white and cools the room down. If you put ice in the tank it will condense on the floor so be careful with slick floors.

Jasmine: It's a little messy and annoying to fill it up with water when needed but it's cheaper than a/c. I did have a problem with it randomly beeping and couldn't figure out what was going on but it turns out because I have it
next to my tv my remote was controlling it.
**update- it's been a few weeks. It now doesn't swing back and forth right. It's like it's getting caught on something. Also, I realized that the one I paid half as much for since it doesn't have the cooling water feature puts out cooler air and just works better.

Holly M.: The fan is what I like the best, without the cooling feature. The air travels well and the swing mode is nice.

The cooler feature is not the greatest and the filling area on the back of the unit is hard to use. I have small hands, but if someone has big or normal sized adult hands, they may have a difficult time with it. The "door" is hard to put back on, especially if you have arthritis. Being a bottom water loader is not a good feature since it is a small opening where you can put ice, water, or the ice packs into it. If it had a bigger opening and a drawer to put everything into, it would not be so bad. If you must drain excess water out of the bottom, which is not a good feature, since the unit is not a light weight and is awkward, unless you have someone to help you. If you can overlook the small opening that hasn't got a drawer, etc. If you only want to use the fan feature, it is a nice unit. Also, on days hotter than 85, the unit does not work well in cooling. Today it was about 90 outside, and with this and other fans on, it only cooled to 85. I used ice, the ice packs and ice water, but they really didn't help much.
