Barbara and Paul: This DVD player upscales all our DVD's. Old DVD's show up on our Smart TV as being close to what we term as 3K. Excellent picture quality with easy to use remote. My husband was so pleased with the player that he had me order another one, just in case anything should happen to the one we have now. So we have one working player and a brand new one that just came today. He was so happy that I got him the "exact" one he has now. Sony has made a really good product for a fantastic price. Thank you, Sony!
