Compact All-Region DVD/CD Player for Home Entertainment

Lisa: Unobtrusively small, simple functions, remote works well, quiet, and no issues that I know of.
I have 2 of them. Both great.
Only odd thing is that if power goes out, they turn on/play when power comes back on! No biggie, just odd.

Shopping Idaho: This is a great multi-region DVD player. Before purchasing this I read reviews and did not find any that actually discussed this feature. I live in the US but have several DVDs that are from Region 2 and 4, this player plays them perfectly and unlike some other players, you do not have to change any settings for them to play, no matter what DVD you put in, it immediately starts to play it. This DVD player is also super compact and uses very little power compared to some others. I assume it will last about a year or two, which is the average time most of these cheaper smaller players last. Other than the smaller size, it is basically identical to past multi-region players I have used, so I assume this is what replaced some of those brands as the remote and features are identical. The only cons I have with this player is that like others in the past, it likes to automatically play subtitles on about 75% of all DVDs I play from region 1, and on almost 100% of movies from Region 2 and 4, while not a big deal to hit the subtitle button to turn them off, it's still somewhat annoying to have to turn them off after you put in every single movie, even if you change the settings to no...

Salty: Not all multi-region DVD players will play non-region DVDs (region 0), I learned that the hard way, but this one does. Very good.
It does not need another power supply if your power hub has USB supply ports. Also good.
The remote does need to be nearly directly in front of the player to work so no fighting over the remote. The writing on the buttons is small so it is a bit difficult, for my old eyes, to navigate.

Wayne G.Wayne G.: I was looking for a portable DVD player for use with my Projector system and this performed really well.
Was packaged neatly and included Power lead, UK adapter, HDMI cables, remote control and RCA cables for those without HDMI connectivity.
It Was Easy to set up, lightweight and sit's nicely on my projector stand.
Couple of DVDs Ive played so far project a good image and remote control is very responsive (even when sat behind the unit).
Packed well back into the box and compact enough not to take up too much space. And can be moved easily when needed to connect to another TV.
Overall impressive purchase that will be used on a regular basis for viewing our DVD collection in the garden when the warm weather returns.

DarrenDarren: What a fantastic little player. Very pleased with the excellent 1080p upscaling that was really noticeable and a great improvement. The zoom feature and slow down feature is also a great tool. I didn't even take the instructions out of the plastic bag, just plugged it in and away it went (after setting to 1080p with the remote control).

All the leads where included to set up and go, Including a USB 3 pin Plug for power a HDMI 1.5m cable also a 3ft RCA Cable. Connected to a Panasonic 4k UHD TV and a 1080p projector. great picture quality on both purchased DVDs and USB digital photos. I cant fault this item.

Small enough to fit on my mantle piece 7.3 x 6 x 1.7in (not facing me due to cable connections see pics) Remote control reaches around 13 feet before becoming intermittant.

I have a great number of DVD's that I intended to crossover to bluray versions but some are still fairly expensive, now I dont feel the need to. In fact since buying this DVD player I have purchased several boxsets, and dozens of disney DVD's for the grandkids not having to worry about the region DVD's where made (using charity shops and ebay, which before I would never have...

Dana Williams: I am 70 years old, and most of my audio/video components are not exactly cutting edge. They served me well until I purchased a DVD of a live performance from a London based company. When I received the disc, it would not play on my system. The folks I purchased it from were helpful and offered to refund my purchase price. I decided it was time to have a player that was able to play discs from other countries. That’s what led me to the Celhoit player. I was reluctant to spend a lot of money on something that I would likely not use often. The price point for the Celhoit player seemed worth the gamble, and the gamble payed off.

The player was easy to connect, and it did exactly what it promised to do. Picture quality was excellent, and the remote was easy to use. I really couldn’t be happier with it.

Shelly: Sometimes the remote control doesn't seem to work and you have to pop the drawer in manually. Unfortunately it doesn't have the correct resolution for my TV so there is a black band around the movie. Other than that it works fine but I won't be back for another.
