Maia: The price is a bit high although it's rare to find a 36-inch foam roller for less than the amazon price on the market. For $27 it came exactly as described and does the job! I would say worth the price if you are in need of one especially compared to other sporting store prices.

Laura Texas Gal: I have started to workout again at home and the gym. They have these at the gym, but because they helps so much before and after working out with my pain and even flexiblity, I decided to get one to use when at home. Man, the next day pain or soreness after the workouts is not half as bad as it would be if I didn't use this at all. It can feel painful or a little uncomfortable while using it, but it is worth it!!! My upper and lower back benefit the most from this. You will want to watch YouTube videos on how to use these RIGHT!! You will get the most benefit if you are using it the right way!!!

Mark Scales: I read a lot of reviews for foam rollers after I had to dispose of my last one due to a naughty dog... The reviews all had the Amazon Basics foam roller in the top 1 or 2 products so I thought I'd give it a go.
It's less that half the price of my old roller and better in terms of how it performs! It's very firm, but I think that makes it more effective.

Victor Stan: Got this to complement a spiked foam roller that I got years ago and couldn't use it on some muscles due to being too stiff and painful.

This one from Amazon is just as good as a more expensive one from the big brands. It's very light, but stiff, so it doesn't flex or collapse, but light enough to maneuver around. It's perfect for larger muscles like quads, glutes, hamstrings, pecs and lats and even calves. For smaller muscles like back muscles, upper chest and lower legs, a spiked foam roller works best, so I suggest you have both in your arsenal.

I got the 45cm version which for a slim fit 70kg male works best, it still is wider than my shoulder and hips so plenty of space to roll left-right on it.

And yes, for the skeptical ones, foam rolling does work, especially if you pair it with stretching and mobility exercises. Although I tend to use it only on my rest days, it is recommended to use it daily, so a morning routing where you foam roll 15 minutes is a fantastic way to start you day if you are like me, and prefer to work out in the afternoon. Or, if you can workout in the morning, foam rolling before going to bed is even better to avoid any muscle...
