Danijo: This series was recommended from a book group, they said it ended their reading slump and I can see why. I read a lot and haven't really been enjoying them as much because they all seemed to have way too much in common so I decided to take a chance on this and I am so happy I did! I wish the book was twice as long because I could have kept reading about Kage!

This is first time I have read this author and I am super happy with their writing style and plots. Their was steam, romance, suspense and very minimal 3rd act drama. I hate 3rd act drama because it is always overplayed with the same story of someone doing something stupid and the other person takes way too long to get over it after over reacting, but thankfully that was not the case with this book.

This book will make you blush and select a new book boyfriend! This is the first Mafia book I have read, and I have just unlocked a new genre that I will be diving into after this series.

AlohaD: Ruthless Creatures is only my second novel by J.T. Geissinger, but I'm loving her style of writing. Her MMC that she creates are a little dark but all alpha, have a soft spot for the right MFC and the worlds that they live in have the potential for so many stories. I have a feeling I'm going to love diving into the Queens and Monsters series as this is only book one.

This year I'm reading a bit from my shelves of books that I already own and I was super excited to read more by this author. Plus, I enjoy mafia type books and this appears to be a little bit lighter with that aspect, but will be a good journey.

Kage is a new guy in town. He's dark and mysterious and doesn't talk much, but he is immediately drawn to Nat. They have this immediate chemistry and neither one of them can stay away from one another. Natalie's fiancé disappeared years ago and she still holds onto him, but finally gives in to the man next door, even though he isn't completely 100% open with her. He at least lets it be known that he wants her and only her and will treat her like the queen she deserved to be.

dawn higgins: WOW! I loved this story right from the off.
Not read a book from this author for a while, why oh why did i wait to read this so long, this blew me away with her story telling and what a story this was, it was gripping throughout, i need a man like Kade he can be mine when ever he wants.
If you haven't picked this book up yet why not as you need a Kade in your life trust me, i couldn't stop reading this book as it had me gripped with what was unfolding and now off to download the next book. Brillaint.

I have no idea why it’s taken me so long to read this book but I loved it. Let’s talk about the DRAMAAAA, ugh it was 🤌🏼!!! It kept on coming and the twists throughout were so good! The 🌶️ between these two was DELICIOUS and that blindfolded scene, oh god it was absolutely🔥!!!!

I thought this book was written perfectly and the storyline didn’t miss a beat what so ever! There was some real good banta throughout between these two but mostly between Nat and her bestie Sloane who was hilarious, gosh I love that woman’s quick wit!

Speaking of the bestie, just when you though it was going to be Stavros doing the kidnapping… BAM, Mr Declan swoops in first and damn am I excited 🫢😍

Mimiorphee: A sassy heroine meets the big bad wolf, and the sparks start flying. In Ruthlesw Creatures, J.T. Geissinger built a dangerous mafia world I am very eager to explore a bit (lot) more.
The dark tone, the thrilling and unique storyline had me hooked from the start. I wanted to know more, I laughed out loud at the smart comments and the quirkiness of the heroine. Oh the banter! Did I tell you how hot it was, too? Because it sure was. The author has a way with words!
Towards the end, my mind wandered some because the plot took me into a direction I didn't care much about. That being said, I recommend it to readers who are looking for a very entertaining mafia story. Slick and easy to read. Enjoy!

Glauka: Was für eine tolle Überraschung. Endlich mal eine Mafia-Romanze mit intelligenten Dialogen und richtig heißen Sexszenen. Der wahnsinnig attraktive Kage, die rechte Hand des russischen Mafia-Bosses, soll eigentlich die Kleinstadtlehrerin Natalie verhören, wo ihr Ex-Verlobter sich versteckt und sie dann umbringen. Doch er verliebt sich Hals über Kopf in Nat und sie ih ihn. Eine tolle Liebesgeschichte, wo die Hauptdarstellerin auch wenn sie ein wenig naiv ist, doch sehr realistisch wirkt. Und gesunden Menschenverstand hat. Ich habe es genossen und mir gleich das zweite Buch geholt.

Lacey: I devoured this book in one day. The plot is good & the sex is out of this world!

Natalie is a middle school art teacher who’s fiancé disappeared 5 yrs ago the day before their wedding. She’s given up on love & battles depression on a daily basis with the ghost of wondering what happened to her fiancé constantly haunting her. Although she’s had a couple of short term meaningless relationships she finds herself closed off to everyone except her witty smart mouthed best friend Sloane.

Sloane convinces her to go out with her to a bar on the 5 yr anniversary of her fiancés disappearance so she doesn’t wallow in depression at home alone. At the bar, they see a mysterious man named Kage sitting at the bar alone. The town gossiper informs them that he’s Natalie’s new next door neighbor. Sloane & Natalie both approach him separately but are both met with his rude dismissal of any form of a conversation.

Fast forward to some uncomfortable run ins with Kage including one of Kage seeing Natalie wearing her wedding dress. As well as one of Natalies short term relationships who just happens to be a cop & won’t stop harassing her showing up...

Truth to be told the plot isn’t so innovative or surprising.
I mean you can figure out pretty easily how everything unfolds, but you still keep reading, you are still obsessed with the story because the characters are freaking amazing!
Their chemestry, their bond is swoony material 😍😍
I've highlighted so many quotes, I lost count of it.

There is something so fascinating about a mad man who's deeply, madly in love with a woman, who is completely devoted to her....
and Kage is one of the best 😍
Yeah, I got it really bad 😂😂

The thing I enjoyed the most about this book tho is the humor that lighten the darkness of the mafia' trope. It made the reading even more entertaining.

Definitely a great start for a series i hope gonna give me a really good time.
