Ebony Swanson: This book just kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved it. Short and sweet straight to the point. Quick read but excellent!

S. Toste: Immediately engaging. I read this in a couple days but you could easily finish it in a day. The ending felt a little slapped together but it was still a very a good book; never a dull moment.

Cox & Fortenberry-Cox: Viewpoints of the characters are flawlessly told in authentic voices. The mystery is teased out in small threads, each attracting and distracting, while you feel the stress and fear of the characters, and even began to fear for yourself as you, too, keep vigil at the windows facing upon dark woods, sure you’ve heard the crunch of sticks or seen the beam of a lone flashlight turn off. While I’m a devoted reader of Karin Slaughter’s books, I found myself so grateful at each twist & turn that Minka Kent didn’t scare the wits out of me. You’ll find The Stillwater Girls intellectually & emotionally engaging with all the nuances of human emotions and the twisting screws of psychological suspense. … If I’m endorsing it, you can trust it has a happy ending. No spoilers — just read!

Sandra Lapertosa: Two different stories running side by side and the way they converge I didn't expect it. I liked the book because it wasn't like anything I've read before, most thrillers these days sound the same.

Quirkiestgirl: No unecessary waffle as the drama unfolds.
A few twists and turns to keep you invested and an ending that doesnt leave regret for time spent.

Avid reader: The book has two narratives: Nicolette and Wren. Nicolette is depressed because she can’t have kids and this intensifies during the winter months:”Eventually that void came back tenfold, and it always seems to worsen the colder the weather gets. Maybe it’s the barren trees in the forest outside our home that trigger me.” Most of us can relate to that. It is easier not to be depressed when you are on a beach and sparkling waters are in front of you. Nic is a trust fund girl who lives in a mansion at the end of Stillwater forest with her handsome photographer husband.
The other narrator, Wren, lives in a hunting cabin deep in the Stillwater forest with her sister. Their mom is missing for 2 months and her groceries are running low. All Wren knows is the cabin with an our house, no TV, Internet or cell. She and her sister are told that outside word got bad and it is dangerous to leave the cabin for any reason.
Will the two girls dare to go for supplies and exit the Stillwater forest? Is Nicolette getting a kid - foster or else?
Read this exiting thriller to find out.

RSW Kindle Customer: This 4 Star book crossed several genres; it could qualify as a psychological thriller, suspense, family drama and/or a love story. At just short of 250 pages, was a quick read. In fact, I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in just one day.
SUMMARY
This story is told by two narrators, living vastly different lives.
Narrator one, Wren, lives way off the grid in Upstate New York with her mother and sisters, Evie and Sage. They live such an isolated life that the girls have never even met anyone outside their little family, nor have they ever seen a tv or indoor bathroom. Their little world is so similar to pioneer life in the 1800's, for the first couple chapters, I wasn't sure in which century it was set.
Life in their homestead was pretty uneventful until the youngest sister, Evie, became very ill. Wren's mother had no choice but to leave the safety of the little cabin and take Evie to seek medical attention. Assuring them she would return as soon as possible, Wren and Sage's mother left them behind to tend to the homestead with instructions not to open the door for anyone. They just had to...
