Richard: It seems like it was an extremely good value for the money and the counter works well.
Unfortunately, the groove that is put in the knob that’s used to reset the counter to zero makes it easier to turn it clockwise instead of counterclockwise.
You need to turn it counterclockwise unless you’re doing 98 or 99 clicks.
Instead of that small groove, a simple design with a straight tab that could be turned equally and either direction would be better because if someone is doing a lot of repetitions at low strength, then they can turn it clockwise easily to reset it to zero.
However, I said it to 132 pounds are 60 kg and when I click off 10 reps with my full grip, I don’t want to have a problem setting it back to zero by having to go all the way up to 99 and frankly, it is hard for a man with large fingers to grip the damn thing anyway.
I suggest the engineers simply change it to something that you could grip over the full circumference, a simple, straight grip tab that resembles the grip tab on any modern propane or gas kitchen stove except smaller.
I’d be happy to have them send me a replacement after they’ve done the design change,...
