Trouble is it's after a few months of regular use they break. Heck, I'm no monster, I'm 73 yo and 175 lbs but well conditioned. I use one at a time to extend the life of the pair, dialed up near maximum and doing sets of 40 left, right, left, right... and ultimately the springs snap at the top (see picture) and the head popped off a hinge pin. I'll probably buy them yet again because they're affordable and otherwise a great design but they don't last long...

Jim V: The only issue so far is that the spring makes a popping noise, disturbing me and others around. The hook end does not pivot well where the spring hooks into the lower adjustable eyelet. The eyelet has sharp edges that can hang up on the inside of the spring hook and paint and pops as you squeeze, even after the paint wears off. The eyelet hole needs to be curved with no sharp edge where it contacts the spring. Both do it plus I first had their other model and each one did the same thing plus that model had the counters which produced additional noise.

Zak Harris: I’ve been using these whenever possible in order to improve my grip strength as I want to take up callisthenics. The grips are reliable and never slip and it’s easy to adjust the tension. Overall good product.

Darren: This is easy to use and doesn’t require any setup so it’s ready to go from the box.
It is also very simple to use and can be carried easily so you can do exercises on the go or practically anywhere.
This item is also comfortable so will keep you exercising for ages without discomfort.
I have seen no signs of wear and tear.
Overall very good and reliable product. Would recommend and worth every penny.

Ice White: Great value for money at the price I paid. Grips and good and easy on the hands. Doesn't creak or judder under tension like my last one did (which eventually snapped). Its 60kg rating seems ambitious (its about the same as my old 40kg one at max extension). As some other reviewers have said you do get incentivised for leaving a positive review. I did think about laying out £40 for a super fancy one but the reality is that if I get a years use out of each one then its all good/a genuine 5*.

Lily: Love these little Grip Strength Trainers, my hands, arms and wrists were weakened by a stroke and I am using them to get my strength back. They are brilliant because it allows you to gauge your resistance so I've started on the lowest resistance and I will increase as I getstronger. I also read that these Strength Trainers can aid in lowering blood pressure, I've had these a day and already my blood pressure is coming down!! Best buy this year!

Cheese: Overall they are pretty affordable and seem to be made fairly decently. I could see the adjustment caps potentially having issues later on, but they feel pretty good after handling them for a bit.
I liked the idea of dynamically adjusting the resistance required to close them, but I didn't realize this meant the distance to close would also change. I'd rather be able to have a consistent grip distance, with adjustable grip resistance.
The distance is something I could maybe get used to, but I was curious about the measurements and how accurate they were. They seemed a little too easy for me at different adjustments. I tried a little experiment using a body weight scale. I placed a hardcover book on the scale to help distribute the force into the scale. I then set the back handle against the book, and I pressed down on the front handle to squeeze the handles together. Based on the readings on the scale, it seemed to take a bit over 50 lbs to close the handles, applying pressure toward the end of the handles. When applying pressure closer to the middle of the handles, it looked like it took around 60 lbs.
I'm not sure how effective this methodology is in testing...

liz devanney: I have found these to be fantastic in helping with numb hands on long motorcycle rides. I noticed difference in days. They seem to be well made and easy to adjust. I have large hands and they fit mine perfectly after turning them around. Sit there at night and use them when watching TV. Beware it can be quite addictive. Works for me and good for the money. I am happy with my puri. Thanks.

Retro Rex: The grip strength trainers are ergonomically crafted to perfection for a comfortable grip during use. Soft rubber handles make operation easy on the skin as well. Resistance can be lowered by turning the adjustment knob counterclockwise and increased by turning the knob clockwise; changing the resistance from either extreme (10 kg<--->60 kg or 22 lbs<--->132 lbs) takes less than 30 seconds of continuous turning and adjustment to levels in between takes even less. This tension adjuster makes these grip strength trainers ideal both for those just beginning grip training and for those who are seasoned "grippers." The 10 kg resistance is accessible to even the frailest of grips, and the 60 kg settings offers an excellent challenge to puissant hands. Most users may fall somewhere in between, and there are so many settings between 10 and 60 kg that the user will never run out of settings that fit their grip strength as it evolves. In sum, I highly recommend these grip strengtheners that offer affordable quality to users of all levels.

working for the weekend: I work in the automotive assembly world, and everyone loves trying this out lol. It's usually pretty accurate, but I've seen it mess up once. I'm usually around 160lb but it gave me 179lb once and I knew that wasn't right. Only happened once, just use common sense. Fun for sure
