Aman Srivastava: Serves the purpose without hassles. No screen but you can directly project the live feed on the phone. Only problem I see is if I forget to switch my phone wifi,, it wouldn't transfer the clip instantly. Serves the purpose. No issues till now

AyoAyo: I really do like this brand. I was recommended by someone and the camera quality is great day and night. I do wish it was a live recording option when your car is parked. It does seem to go into a parking mode once you do park and i know it will alert you if it senses any movement or noise in your car. But its only one camera so you wouldn't be able to see the inside on your car unless you turned the camera around. But its a easy set up, step by step instructions but i ended up not needing them after like Step 2. Was easy to hide the cord, at least w/ my car. Doesn’t seem to overheat & i live in Houston where heat reaches up to 100+ degrees. Hasnt melted or fallen off the windshield. It also will sense hard breaking/Parking incidents and capture the moment separately from the whole video that way your not looking for it. I like this little camera because its small and discreet but again i wish it had a inside camera.

Miguel ChicoMiguel Chico: Devuelvo el articulo porque me interesaba tener un almacenamiento en la nube como se anuncia en la descripción, sin embargo, el artículo es de excelente calidad, pero el acceso a la app Nexar es imposible ya que no hay cobertura en México para el almacenamiento en línea de los videos que va grabando el dispositivo, solo se grabarán las imágenes y video de manera local.
El código SMS que se requiere para acceder a la aplicación no es generado, el servicio al cliente es súper rápido, contestan en inglés, pero solo confirmaron que México no tiene la disponibilidad de almacenamiento online, este era para mí la justificación de la compra y lo que marcaba la diferencia con otras cámaras disponibles en el mercado.

Sam: My Review of the Nexar Beam dash cam (Iphone 13 pro max, IOS 16)

Initial Impressions:

* The box was not sealed, with either a sticker, tape or cellophane.
* The Contents of the box appeared undisturbed, packed neatly and with all promised accessories.
* Disappointed to see a Mini USB for power.
* All protective plastic was in place on the mount and camera lens.
* Amazon SKU label indicated 'new 2021' rather than '2022', the model date promised on the listing.
*The actual camera, mount (integrated GPS) looks well thought out and nicely put together.

Fitting in Car:

* Routing the power cable can be a little awkward, however clear instructions, cable clips and a trim tool to help are included (11.5ft USB Mini cable).
* Nice twist lock window mount that works well, using the GPS module as the part that turns to lock the mount.
* The camera and mount while quite square and boxy are low profile and can be concealed well behind my rearview mirror (I am still able to see the LED indicator lamps).
* Be sure to mount the camera so that it looks through via an area swept by your windscreen wipers ( I had to move mine).

Chris Burns: I bought the Nexar Beam about 6 weeks ago to replace an aging minor league name brand camera that was getting unreliable.

I bought the Beam because it had features I was interested in: WiFi (to get my videos without having to pull the card), GPS, good picture quality, and tech support from a bigger brand.

I'm disappointed with the purchase, and unfortunately didn't really realize the full scope of the disappointment until after my Amazon return window closed.
The biggest disappointment is that it's less of a camera, and more of a social media thing. They really, really, REALLY, want you to use your phone with it all the time. $170 camera that's crippled unless I attach it to my mobile phone.

The Good
* The camera quality is good - 1080p when streamed on your phone or if you pull the memory card.
* It's reliable - since it connects to your phone when you get in the car, the clock sets and it records every time.
* Build quality feels solid, and the mount it comes with holds strong.

The Bad

* Steaming drives uses a LOT of battery, and makes my phone really hot. Nexar support told me "you should keep the phone plugged in".

James Lever: I've had this dashcam for 2 days. Here's my findings.

1. Its a good camera
2. night time recordings are good
3. the parking mode works well (perhaps too well - appears to be recording too much)

What I struggled with;

I have a car with wifi carplay, to access the camera I have to decide whether I want car play (connect to the car wifi) or connect to the dashcam.

when i did get it to connect, i had to manually tweak the DNS settings for the wifi as it killed my phones internet access, so was unable to do anything including updating the dashcam.

The app wants to stream from the dashcam to your phone by default. This wasn't a feature I wanted.
If you're not connected it records to SD - but here's an interesting find.

Apple users cannot download the recordings from the SD-Card on the camera. The app will say "no recordings". So you have to remove the SD Card, and then work with 1 minute video clips. Apparently on android this works, but IOS doesn't.

For me, this is too faffy. I want to be able to review my dashcam recordings from my phone, not from a PC.
Disappointing.

Amazon Customer: Great little camera. Clever use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to talk with your phone and upload drives and key moments to your phone and the cloud. However, this can use your battery power and if you don’t charge your phone as you drive, this might be an issue. My only other issue is that sometimes drives don’t appear on your phone. They’re all saved on the Micro SD card, so it’s not a major problem. Overall though, it’s neat and discreet, which is what I was after.

KariDK: First, this camera works seamlessly with my iPhone. There is a setting where it AUTOMATICALLY starts recording when the vehicle begins moving, I do not have to turn it on or start anything. 2nd, it does NOT have to be on my screen for it to record what is happening, it kept working in the background with no problems with any of the other apps I used on my phone including Waze for directions, audiobooks, Spotify, etc. I could open the Nexar app anytime and have the screen show the view/recordings as they were happening, but I didn't feel like I needed to.
EXPERIENCE: Used it on our 21 hour drive to Florida. In stop and go traffic we had a hard breaking incident and a notification came up that it felt the hard breaking event and it was automatically saving the clip (it obviously turned out to be nothing), but it was great that that it was automatic and I wouldn't have to worry if something bad would happen because the clip would automatically be saved.
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is it comes with a dual plug to go into the charging port in my car. Very thoughtful of Nexar, right? That way the camera always stays plugged in and there is another port for charging a...
