Arnav: Audio CDs sound crystal clear. Memory playback ensures continuation from previous part where playback was interrupted.
DVD should be region free for smooth playback. Others don't play, sadly.
Region 3 is not India, it is not America. I don't know what sorcery is this.
Thus am not giving rating on picture quality cause unable to playback all DVDs.

Michael-Clare Walker: This unit was very easy to set up. Virtually plug and play. Good, clear picture and good sound. Would buy again. The remote control has all the regular functions; the buttons on it are rather small but I have small hands so it's not a problem for me.

Michael L: Budget unlocked dvd player. I bought it to replace a player I purchased over a decade ago while living overseas. My dvd collection consists of region 1 and region 2 and I needed it for the region 2 disks. So far I haven't run into any issues with any of the disks I have watched with it. Those are the only 2 regions I've tried but have no reasons to think it wouldn't work with others.

Just in case someone reads this and didn't notice in the item description - this does not have an HDMI connector. Make sure that whatever you're plugging it into (TV, AV center, etc.) accepts composite connections instead. Either that or grab a budget composite to HDMI converters when you purchase this.

for years. Now I can watch them anytime I want. I don't know the other country codes but code 2 works fine. That is what I needed most anyway. Thank you. I am happy.

JPNL: I purchased this Multi Region DVD player on 30 July 2018. Less than one year later it's stopped working. Simply doesn't play any DVD anymore.

M. Brown: For decades, there have been certain movies or TV series that I wanted to have on DVD, but have not been released in the U.S. I kept thinking they would be, eventually, since all the ones I had my eye on were shows and films I'd seen when younger, in this country, and were in fact very popular. But the powers to be over here continued to ignore them. Finally, I decided that I would have to get a region free DVD player. The most important thing was, quite simply, that it would work! Would it really play DVDs from different regions without issues? This one does. The picture and sound quality is impressive; it immediately locks in on whatever disc I insert and plays without any delay, struggle, skipping, freezing, pixilation, etc. It's a smooth and enjoyable experience. Second, it was a snap to install; as any DVD player should be but some are not. Third, the price was great! I wish I hadn't waited so long!

LaGrange Diver: Bought this to have something to play non-Region 1 DVDs. Tried it so far with a Region 2 DVD I got at the same time; works fine. Setup was simple; there is no input, and only a single output -- standard (3-coax cable) video.
Can't say anything about durability, etc, as I have only had it for a few days -- hence the merely 4-star ratings in relevant categories.

Keith Black: Other reviewers wrote mixed & confusing comments for this unit. I am specifically talking about the Panasonic 'S500P-K'. No need to 'program' this. It plays all these formats -- right out of the box! There are ONLY 'RCA' type jacks on the back. 1 Video & 2 Left & Right Audio. 10 watts. Small compared to the older units of the last decade, but basic, which I personally like. This does not play Blu-Ray, but there are other players at great prices out there now that do. An excellent little player unit. I bought 2 because of the great price!
