Vicki: Perfect for my elderly mother who has trouble standing for long periods. My mother is small so I can't comment on it's strength and durability for heavier individuals but it fits her well. It was easy to assemble when it arrived. It is light weight and easy to put in and take out of our small walk in shower.
The handles help my mother to stand after sitting.
It dries quickly too.
It's much better than a plain stool.

DivineDivine: Sitting to shower is new to me. I have only a shower, no tub, and a condition that won't let me stand for long, so a shower seat letting me take my time feels nearly as good as a bath and I am grateful. Shower floor measures 30" x 32", so it's small and chair takes up space. Photo shows how I really use this chair. I removed one handle and sit on the seat the long way so I can reach and twist around to grab shampoo, pumice stone, etc. The seat is flat, so not meant for more than about 15 min of seating; back starts hurting. If you have a sore back get a chair with a contoured seat. But this chair is well built and doesn't slip or tip. Its rubber "hooves" have drain holes on the bottom. I am 5'2" and 125 lbs. To use this chair in my shower I had to get rid of my shower caddy.
