M. Hicks: Work as it should, lots of options. The music/synch effects leave much to be desired (only effect is strobing of the light at varying speeds & when there is silence in a song..it just turns off until it hears something). So, if you are purchasing this item for that option, don't. But if you are just looking for a nice lighting addition to a room, perfect for that use.

the lamp also has touch controls available on the lamp itself comfortably located at a reasonable height of the shaft, with small red (unintrusive) indicator lights that appear only when the lamp is off making the controls easy to find in a dark room.
It arrived safely packaged in an easy to assemble configuration. Assembly time took less than 15 minutes.
It is very bright at full power, and can easily light my entire studio with soft and cool indirect lighting.
It is also tall, standing just under 6 feet
One thing I noticed right away, the lamp doesn’t cause my videos to blink. Making it ideal for use in video production. Over all, I am very happy with this item, and will definitely recommend it for friends, family, and even studios.

I had no idea so much assembly would be required. It came all in pieces and the light cover is essentially a plastic rubbary cover that’s was kind of a pain to fit in.
The light source are the typical strip lights that kids put up in their room, so makes cool colors but very little light and it made me concerned about the longevity.
I personally wanted something a little more Luxe in design but this didn’t hit the mark. The pieces that fit together don’t go together flush and with the plastic cap for the top just didn’t hit the mark for me. This would probably be great for a gamer room or teen but it didn’t work for my space and what I was looking for. So I decided to return and invest in something with better quality.
Also the remote wasn’t very responsive. It worked when pointing to the little box that dangles off the base, but not if you pointed it to the lamp in general.
