This thing is loud! It will definitely wake you up if needed. It was easy to install and didn't budge on its own, so I wasnt worried about it accidentally popping out of the door

Clara Borges: I was so happy about it for the first night. Easy to install, lightweight, it would be great to have. Second night, it woke me up at 3am. I jumped out of bed, grabbed a knife and ran to the door.
Of course there was no one there. The alarm went of on its own and it wasn't even because of any movements in the area. It was 3am, there were no movements. It's just broken.
I turned it off, put it back, went to bed. Not twenty minutes later, it went off again. This time, I turned it off and... it didn't work, it kept screaming on and on (like a fire alarm) until I took the bateries out.

Notyourbusiness: I've been putting off reviewing this as I wanted to really have a few trips under my belt to ascertain it's usefulness. I have and it's superb! It extremely light, versatile and just plain convenient for a relaxed piece of mind. The tongs fits all the hotel rooms I traveled in the USA (7 different states and it's hotel rooms), 2 in Vietnam, 1 in 2 in Malaysia and 1 in Bangkok. It's so thin that I have absolutely no issue getting this pried between the doors. It's also small enough for windows. The release is quick, responsive and very loud. The light is a great addition for travelling, I use this in unlit roads in addition to my mobile phone. Hook this onto my bag or your belt trouser and it becomes a torch and security device for alerting others and scaring the perpetrator if you are in trouble. The only issue I have is that there isn't a hook that I can use to latch onto stuff. Using the electrical cord seems really fragile and prone to awkward twists which might compromise the integrity of the alarm system. I have two of these, one for my partner. The batteries lasts and are so convenient to replace CR2032 as they are everywhere. When not in use, I just flip them over and close...

Hope: So folks broke in after I used these alarms after flipping over one thing the batteries in the alarm durning the day, while I was out before coming back at night. They also bent the metal tong near the base making the tongs there closer together to create a connected circuit so they could them move the tongs wide apart. At least an inch if not more giving them time to remove the alarm and but the tongs back together before going off. I had to figure out a way of breaking the connection at the base to allow the alarm to work as usual. Also, if someone pulls out the wire in the alarm out of the tongs it doesn’t trip any sort of anti-tampering defense that then triggers the alarm to them go off so I have to make sure things are connected on a daily basis.

Theresa B.: tested this product at my home and it worked on my windows and door just fine . it comes with 2 batteries each so there is an extra one that is great. not sure the purpose of the flashlight ?? it is a bit flimsy and not that solid but its light in weight and can be packed easily... lets hope it works on our 2 month trip
