JOC8778: I ordered this because my work only gave me a single docking station for my laptop and I work both from home and in the office. I was a bit skeptical because Amazon is full of cheap electronics made overseas that don't last long. But this docking station has worked perfectly for over a year now. It gets slightly warm to the touch but not hot, and it keeps my laptop charged while plugged in.

Amazon Customer: Works but you might get an error on your computer that it isn't compatible. You can just hit escape and it works fine.

Jacob Repasy: Seems to work great, got a bit on the hot side when I didn't have the power adapter for it with 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse and gigabit ethernet. Was kind of sad to find that they didn't include a power adapter with it, but found that my existing 65w one I use for my personal laptop worked great.(Both my HP laptops came with barrel chargers so had to get USB-C adapter for on the go) So I just got another of the same adapter, though I would have preferred not having to buy one separately. Still, it does what it's supposed to, so I'll just look for another adapter for at work since my work only provides me with a dinky dongle style dock that doesn't do PD nor eth.

I decided to try again after unplugging the docking station and ordering a new cable for one of my monitors. The new cable is VGA to HDMI instead of the VGA to HDMI adapter I was originally using. With the new cable, I was able to get both monitors working successfully! I've been using the docking station for a couple weeks now since my original review, and it's working great. I noticed there's a lag in the monitors being identified by the computer after plugging everything in, but I'm thrilled to finally have 2 external monitors connected to my work laptop. I updated my rating from 1 to 4 stars because I was able to get both monitors working, and also because the company has reached out 3 different times to offer a refund after I left my initial review. I haven't accepted their refund, but am grateful that they cared enough to offer the option beyond my Amazon return window. They wanted feedback about my setup so they could look into it further. They didn't ask me to change my review, and I honestly wouldn't have changed it if I hadn't gotten the setup to work with the new cable. I still docked 1 star because of the finicky nature and lag time...as well as the fact...
