Jaime Larson: This pump is pretty dang tough. I bought this to run non-stop for a hydroponic system. It ran the entire season and then froze solid in my nutrient reservoir when I forgot to remove it. It stayed frozen in a block of ice until this spring when it thawed. I figured it would have been destroyed from having been frozen all winter but it fired right up and has been running non-stop for the last month. Pretty tough.

trent r.: I bought this pump for my outdoor fish pond its the 2nd time purchasing since the last one lasted for a few seasons however this one broke in less than one month. I tied to contact the company with no success so therefore I'm just out the money which is completely disappointing. Not sure why the pump won't work I cleaned it out and attempted multiple things to get it to work but it's trash after less than 1 month buyer beware

commerce555: This pump is great. I was abit sceptical at first because it wasn't expense. I purchased it to replace a more expensive one that burned out after 7 years. This pump was amazing! It has a great lift 14 feet over a lenght of 18 feet. It pushes out a good volume, equal to what they stated and better than the old pump. The pump comes with multiple sized hose adapters, so I did not have to purchase a new hose. The pump was easy to clean at the end of the season with a little algicide and the clean water. I wish it came in other colors but the aqua blue is not bad. Great pump fir an awesome price!

Toolman: Purchased this pump to do aquarium water changes with. To that end it works great. Can not advise on how long it may do this at this point. But if it dies prematurely I will let you know. Now for the pros and cons.

Pros:
It works well. I have a 5/8 hose attached to it presently. it took the pump about half as long to drain the water, over a python changer. Comes with several size hose adapters. Did not seem overly loud, but then I am only using it has a utility pump. Like the molded in handle. Has about a 6 foot long power cord..

Cons:
The weight of the pump gives a feeling of sturdiness. However the fact that the bottom cover and top cover are never really "Tight" (they move around a little.) kind of makes one think otherwise. It comes with suction cups for the bottom cover / pickup screen. These were very hard to get in. I may remove them just because you are more likely to leave the bottom cover stuck to where ever you mount the pump. That being said I would not stick this pump to an aquarium side wall. The bottom cover comes off just way to easy.

Other than that it is fine for what I use it for. I do not think I would use...
