April M. Dubose: A very cute story about family, friends and acquaintances. Sparks a sense of hopefulness that there are still stand up people in the world.

Okiri: Very predictable story line. Lots of exaggerations and too many clichés... Yet it made for an easy reading... Just passing the time.

Claudia Reed: This book by Karen McQuestion is a bit magical and very soulful. It helps me believe that there is still beauty in humanity. Some things are just meant to be. Of course there is the problem of dysfunctional family life and pure greed as well. I absolutely love Ms McQuestion’s characters. I would have imagined children raised in a family with unlimited amounts of money to be somewhat haughty and rather unlikable. I was quite disappointed in a mother, raised in a middle class background and lucky enough to marry a millionaire, who would put greed and appearances higher than raising happy children. What it comes down to is that parents don’t always believe in their children. I absolutely loved all of the life lessons in this book.
Greta and Cele are distant cousins. Greta gets an offer to apprentice in Cece’s company and stay with the family for the summer. She very soon discovers that things are quite different than portrayed. She finds there is much more to her cousin than the glamour girl she seems on media.
Dalton poses as a homeless individual to be able to get a fix on a project to help homeless people.
I definitely recommend Ms McQuestion’s true to life,...

Deb: Good man Dalton was on my the pile but kept cropping up in different places, as in Kindle adverts and different areas of Facebook . So I may (definitely) have skipped a few reads to read this early. I hadn’t long finished another book by Karen McQuestion, called Easily Amused, which I enjoyed immensely.
The beginning of the book i found interesting because it began by not being a love or romantic tale at all. I thought from a few reviews I’d read it might be.
I loved the way Greta is such a regular girl and Cece has a lot going on personally and I became keen to find out what was going on with her.
Moments were touching for me and funny at times. There’s a very real point going through the book concerning ex veterans, which highlighted a real problem that is true in a lot of countries.
To me Good Man Dalton-
Is a feel good story (which could so easily be a film) with more going on besides.

Mrs. Tjh Hill: I have this a four because it was an enjoyable but not too taxing read. The characters are nice and easy to follow with a happy ending.

stlgem: I have come to enjoy the McQuestion novels but honestly this one came across rather sappy. I was glad when it ended.
