InSinkErator Evolution Septic System-Friendly Garbage Disposal

Josh and Bre ZieglerJosh and Bre Ziegler: Should’ve known better not to order an open box but I didn’t expect the item to be stripped of parts. Outlet screw was stripped but luckily it’s a flathead and Phillips combo screw. Got it all assembled and turned the power on to find out the motor is grounded/ locked up. Ended up going to Lowe’s and getting the exact replacement. Lesson learned.

Captain Wingnut: It was much bigger than what it replaced (both were insinkerators).
It’s extremely quiet and powerful and because we’re on a septic it has a great deodorizer and the sink ALWAYS smells fresh and it’s good for the septic.

Southern4wheelin@thebeach: Installed in under 10 min and can’t believe how quiet it is. Heard a few clunking sounds upon turning it on but I think one of the blades was stuck and it quickly went away. Amazing disposal

Cormac A. SookramCormac A. Sookram: The media could not be loaded.  This installed rather easy, and is no more bulky than any other plastic dishwasher disposal. It is not heavy, and I easily lifted it by myself without the use of a jack. The bio charge is very easy to take on and off unless it does not matter what position, you have this in it’s very easy to install and remove the charge.

Liam: 1 year in and still very happy. Installation was a breeze and everything has held up perfectly. Plenty of power and the enzyme seems to last quite a long time before needing to refill. Definitely happy with the purchase.

This is the second one we have bought and we have been very happy with the existing one, which we have had for 2-years. A good size and power level in that it hasn't clogged once (touch wood!). The dispenser works well for adding enzymes as we are on septic. We're renovating and adding a second sink so we splurged and will have two in the kitchen if that tells you anything about our satisfaction level - lol!

Sheana Parker: Arrived in a couple of days, reasonably easy to install, quiet motor, much better to have this type of action (rubber slats in plug, preventing things from falling in; switch under sink) than one of those clunky metal plugs which you have to turn in the sink and work around when you are actually using the sink. Appreciate the fact that it seems good for the septic tank too. Thank you.

Enora: This unit replaced a 20-y old one. Easy to install: we were even able to use the collar already installed on the sink instead of the one provided. It was just a matter of hooking up the electric cable (we had a switch-operated unit - no need for the additional expense of a cable) and finding the right size of PVC tube at Home Depot. Sure, it is a bit big, but it still fits easily under the sink. Make sure you buy additional liquid as it seems that a bottle, under normal use, may not last longer than 3 months,
