Greg M.Greg M.: I did my first Ironman in Augusta last weekend and the day after my legs were a mess.
The swim was great, the ride was awesome (56 miles) but the half marathon (13.1 miles) really smoked my legs.
I predict this before the race and bought this muscle roller for massaging my legs the day after and it's great.
What I do is sit on the floor and put the roller under my thighs or calves and roll back and forth to massage my muscles.
You can also roll up under your butt to massage that also.
It really helps flush out the junk but be sure to drink some water afterwards to help hydrate and flush out the sore leg remnants.

S. Phillips: This thing is more of a torture device than a foam foller. The foam is too hard and the teeth on this thing dig into the body everywhere. It hurts too much to use. Although it is very small and fits into a carry on bag so it does work for travel, but it's really not a good foam roller so don't waste your time and money. Get something better instead...
