President Founder: This product is not what it's advertised to be nor does it operate as described. It's nothing more than an extravagantly priced plastic desk fan stamped with the Honeywell brand. I could have literally spent $24 for two dollar store fans (which I did) to achieve better results. Filling and emptying the water is a needless laborious chore for nothing. Even in the smallest rooms this device is utterly useless.

Marl: This product is better than a fan as it blows cool air at you. It is not an air conditioner so does not cool a room especially since it needs air flow so doors and windows need to be open. I love the portability as it does not need to be vented outside like an air conditioner. Meets our needs :)

Amazon Customer: I live in an arid climate. I bought this to help keep me cool in bed.
This cooler did ok....up close. It won't cool a room at all, just a blows some slightly cooler air 5 feet or so in front of it. I added ice cubes, that helped. One tank of water lasts all night easy. Construction is very good.

The Good
1. Compact unit
2. 3 selections of fan power
3. holds over gallon of water NO ICE
4. Evaporator coolers are for arid areas, Co. Az. NV, NM (some) CA UT and if they are design properly they will cool, not these products which cost around $120 plus are so. I have used 3...
Bad:
1. No handle to maneuver around makes for clumsily handling
2. Filter MUST be removed every 3 days for cleaning if you have hair, dog, cat, dander from skin - must have Philips screw driver not easily removeable nor easily CLEANED and the filter MUST BE CLEANED TO WORK
3. Cannot add ice for the HOT SUMMER DAYS
4. Must refill with ice water at least 5-8 times daily, these evaporator coolers are for use in the summer when IT IS HOT, if one does not keep refilling with icy water the water will escalate to the heat of the summer day and hot air will flow even with the cool button selected!!
5. Use in summer night, be prepared to fill at least 64 oz before bed time, again another 64 ounces at sleep time, then another two times while one ought to be sleeping for a cool nights sleep, however you GET LESS SLEEP
6. Any water will leave a skin of slim...

Theriomorphous: I work with several computers, and when they're heavily utilized, the room can become hot and dry. This AC was exactly what I needed to work comfortably. Its area of effect is rather limited, but I only need my desk area cooled, so it's perfect. I'm not particularly fond of how quickly the water tank depletes, and it would have been 4 stars if not for this issue.
