gerald dias: The opening where you insert the item you are going to shred or slice could be bigger, I had to cut a medium size cucumber in half to fit it in to slice it. I also used it to shred cheese it did this well but you cannot push to hard or it starts to struggle a bit. Otherwise it did what I needed a made my job easier.

Sm: This veggie slicer is NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY CHARGE! Motor is poor and very slow at best, size was nice and compact and it did come with a stacker to keep slicing cones in but the chute is way too small, if I wanted to cut veggies in tiny pieces, then I don’t need a slicing machine now do I ? Veggies get stuck onto the slicing cone and jam up the chute. $56 is way too much to pay, just wait for a kitchen tool commercial and by your cheap slicer from them, much cheaper price😡

DAdamS: Pros: Well made, clean design, 150W motor more than adequate for the job, couldn't even slow it down by applying pressure with a finger to the turning rim.
Cons: I don't like the push button power switch. This forces you to do everything with one free hand, which is clumsy. You really want two hands available, one to press down into the grater, the other to hold the rim. I may have to fudge my way around this by using a piece of adhesive tape with a wine cork over it to keep it turned on.

Possibly all the other competing products work this way too, but my old Moulinex had a toggle switch, and most blenders and food processors have a switch mechanism that allows both hands to be available for work or to steady the chassis. However, it's a really nice design, inexpensive, and certainly well made. Nothing cheap about it. I didn't like any of the competition as much, and many are 80W, and that IS under-powered. I'll figure it out.

One note though. Who the heck is Homdox, the manufacturer? The instructions don't list an address, website, phone number, nothing. There isn't a even parts list, and even if there were, there's nobody to contact. Plastic parts do break...
