Lindsey: Modern day trauma nurse who is transported back hundreds of years to ancient Scotland. However, when she is discovered to be the exact likeness of the dead Lady of the Land.....well, things get interesting. When she has to confront her supposed murderer, will she survive the second time?
This book completely pulled me in! I love the time travel element to this story as it was extremely well done. There is more to it than just going back in time and that is woven perfectly into it. My only complaint is the Scottish character can be hard to follow as I had to re-read a few of their dialog as it written to be Scottish like. It can be very hard to understand what they are saying.
Yes, I will continue with this series!!
*There is a few bedroom scenes and the kidnapping and rape of women.

Aisha Sheikh: I always enjoy a good time travel novel. It was just that with a bit of tragedy, romance, strength, and lots of love. The characters were so very well woven.

Anon: A nice story. Editing needs to include proper spelling as well as punctuation. Scottish vernacular is well done and understandable. 😉

Kate Tamblyn: Excellent characters. Exciting plot, kept me guessing right until the end.
I really like this author she keeps to the timeline she is writing about which adds to the authenticity. Kept me guessing to the end who would win. I would recommend this book to all my historical romance friends.

Beryl: This is the first book I have read by Rebecca Preston. I am most impressed with her craft of a story. It has strong emotions, superstitions, drama and suspense. I found it hard to put the book down until it reached it's climax. I would recommend it to all those who love stories set in medieval Scotland with a mix of modern day attitudes.

Audrina James only wanted to stop the thief from stealing the brooch from the museum so she chased him down and next thing she knows her hand is bleeding, the brooch is in her hand and she's laying in a cow feild somewhere in medieval Scotland. Little did she know that the brooch belonged to Audrina's ancestor, a woman who died tragically on her wedding night and swore to her last breath that she would be reunited with her true love and this girl was the spitting image of Audrina.
It's now been one year to the day since Colin MacLaren's bride suffered and died at the hands of an English occupier. So how can she be standing before him now? She is adamant that she doesn't know him and her story about coming from the future makes her seem addled, but Colin is sure this woman his his lost love. Now all he has to do is convince her.
Together they have to find a trust and build on that if they are to get past their own scorching physical passion. They also have to deal with Colin's biggest enemy a certain murderous English Nobleman who knows Audrina must be a witch.

J. E. Emery: The book is well written and the plot develops logically. There are a few anachronistic words in the 'older' section, but can be attributed to a modern mind in part. I will follow the series.
