Kasey’s Book Nook: Linnet travels home, hoping to heal her father of a mysterious illness. Ethan follows her because he wants to spend more time with her. He vows to protect her and they learn more about each other.
When the healing doesn't go well, Linnet flees her home and runs straight into trouble. She and Ethan face many challenges, both emotional and physical as events of the past influence present events.
This was another great entry in this series.

Mrs. Joyce Beckett: I loved the whole storyline, the twist and turns, the love that developed and seeing old friends. It’s got the whole package.

Nancy: Ethan is the brother of the Matheson chief. Jennet is the youngest biological daughter of Ramsey chiefton and cousin to the wife of the Matheson chief. Because of an event in his teens, Ethan cannot stand be touched by anyone other than his siblings which makes romance hard for him. Both Jennet and Ethan have analytical minds and are viewed as special by others. The two are developing an attraction for each other when Jennet is called home to help treat her father who has an unexplained infection that will not heal. Jennet, like her mother is a healer. Ethan escorts her there but leaves when he feels like he is in the way. Jennet tries to treat her father but his pain causes him to react violently and she flees on her own to head back to clan Matheson alone. She is attacked by 4 men on the way but Ethan finds her and saves her. And that is only half the book. This book is action packed with a unique and interesting story line that kept me engaged throughout. I read it in one day. Loved it.

Ourania: Again, or as usual, I highly recommend any and all of Keira's book's. More specifically the Clan Grant series. This series branches out to other series. I believe it goes into third and possibly fourth generations'. These stories depict close family ties that includes close friends.
Her artistry brings Scotland of olde to life. Bringing characters to life that you'd actually like to be a part of their lives. I know I'd love to be part of any of those Clans.
Ok ladies, if you know anyone who enjoys Historical Novels, who thinks out of the norm, these books as well as any of her other books, is a must read. I hadn't realized until a few decades ago that men also enjoy a good historical romance. So, go for it and enjoy!
Until next critique,
Ourania (a.k.a. Angel M. James)

McIn: Ethan and Jenett's story was so well told. These two unique individuals find their way to each other though the timing for them is sometimes off because of serious circumstances. Logan made me laugh out loud so many times. Now, Ethan made me shed some tears. What he endured was so sad. But the one meant to be yours is out there somewhere as they both will set out to discover. I only wanted to witness when they finally are able to overcome Ethan's fears when they become one. We missed out a little on this.

P. C. Mosier: I can’t help but love these families (Grants, Ramseys, Camerons, and Mathesons) along with all the villains. Their stories are fascinating and I feel as if I know them all so well. I can’t wait for the next book in the series! If you haven’t read the earlier series that builds the stories of the families and their connections, you definitely should. It makes each next book that much better!
