Demons Angel: Looking forward to reading more of her books. Once I'm able I will be buying them physically to have them on hand to reread again and again. Sad to see the series end but excited for the new ones.

Kindle Customer: It took awhile to read all of the Valhalla books, but they're done. They storyline was so well written and spun a wonderful tail of the Shield Madison, Hervor. Each book was very long and I was concerned I would lose interest but nope. Each book held my attention to the end. I'm going to miss reading about the MMC and MFC. It's a long read, but SO worth it!

Kathie Jamison: The end(?) of an extraordinary series. Fascinating and full of love, magic and war, Hervor's story is filled with action based in ancient Scandinavia, leading the shield maiden to her destiny as a Valkilrie in Valhalla.

LF: Brilliant finale to this amazing series sees all the characters travel paths woven by the sisters, dreams interpreted and played out to the bitter end, love lasting and stronger even past the final breath, and knowledge that the gods never abandon you. Will miss Hervor and her family, the sagas of the Danes and the rich tapestry if history told. Fans of Vikings, The Last Kingdom and The Circle of Cerridwen will love this series. Solid 5.5 stars. .

Dallass: I was not prepared for that ending 😭. After following Hervor on her journey through life, I was completely unprepared for how this book ended. To say I was put through the wringer - and gutted - wouldn’t be too far off the mark. You get a sense of where things are headed early in the book in regards to an earlier prophecy and her sons. Prepare to use a lot of tissues over the last few chapters. Only wish there had been an epilogue of Hervor and Hofund. Highly recommend this series if you enjoy historical fiction with a healthy splash of interfering Gods.

M 🐑: I honestly am left with my mouth wide open...Melanie is a master, truly. I wish I had a fraction of her talent which is why I love her books so much. I'm sorry to see this series end. This book was definitely worth the wait and all 700+ pages!!!. I dove in & could not stop until it ended (just now)...better have the tissues ready. Basically an entire generation packed into this one. Hervor & Hofund start their family and all the trials & joys run the gambit. It is incredibly heartwarming, with all the cousins and family (biological & chosen) coming together throughout the story, marrying, having their own kids growing up & becoming their own selves...and the heartbreak as well. The thing I love most about this series, is the familial community that it brings. This book will emotionally lift you up & break you down like a rollercoaster. And all I have to say is there always seems to be to a Revna in a crowd. Svafva is hilarious & strong, I love her smart*ss humor, it made me laugh so many times. I have so many thoughts that won't fit here... this book is amazing. In blood & honor!

Anniemac: Having devoured all of the previous books in the series, this stunning and voluminous conclusion did not let me down. I have read a number of Melanie Karsak’s series but this is my favourite and it is also my favourite Viking series since Bernard Cornwall’s “The Last Kingdom” (Noting that was set in the UK and not Scandinavia) and maybe even tops it. I think it is Hervor’s character that makes the series so very readable, she is strong but also vulnerable at all times. She is a real inspiration with strong values and wise leadership yet also so human struggling with parenting and other issues that we all understand. I think she is a hero for the ages and I love the fact that a relatively little known Icelandic legend was turned into such a story. I will miss this world and all it’s characters who I have grown to know and love. The lyrical style of writing is beautiful to read it sort of flows from page to page. Bravo, a wonderful series and a true female hero for the ages. I am really looking forward to seeing what she does with the next Boudicca series
