The one little downside is the instructions (or lack thereof). Hint - if your home isn't new, the wood in your rafters can be pretty hard from the heat they're exposed to for years... Be sure to use a larger drill bit than what the instructions specify - match a drill bit to the included screws. I followed the directions, and the screws stripped (the downside of a drill-driver!) quickly. Fortunately, I had some suitable screws in the house and used those after drilling pilot holes with a larger drill bit.

AIMING THE ANTENNA:
I found a nice easy way to aim this thing! Look up the direction of your local transmitter on antennasdirect.com or a similar website. There are several about 30 mi away from me, and all close to each other, and antennasdirect.com said they're around 9-15 degrees. Using my iphone's compass app and holding the phone to the antenna (the flat top edge of the phone pressed against one of the horizontal pieces of the antenna), I was able to easily aim the antenna to 13 degrees, and received about 50...

Omer: I live in GTA - Canada 20 miles from CN Tower, my window faces north. Didn't have much hope before buying it. But I was able to receive 11 channels initially and 5-6 of them always have good signal quality with 1080p. Some channels I receive are CBC, CityTV, Global News, TVO.

L. J. Bourne: This antenna is a parabolic. It comes in a cleverly designed flat package. Follow the instructions carefully. One pitfall is to mount the biggest element upside down. It should straddle the boom, not sit above it. The reflector elements pop into plastic forms nicely. There was supposed to be some kind of guide for the lateral spacing of the forms, but I couldn't find it. It doesn't matter, because the elements slide in the forms to get the spacing right for maximum strength. In my attic this antenna picks up stations from about 70 miles away from my house, but I have to use an outboard pre-amplifier (not included) to get enough signal to drive the tv located about 40 coax feet away from the antenna. Something odd is that despite the forward gain, the antenna actually seems to have a low front-to-back ratio, meaning that it can pick some stations behind it, which can be a plus, although it makes me think that by draping aluminum foil behind the reflector elements it might be possible to get additional forward gain. To get signals from multiple directions it's possible to use additional antennas with a combiner, although this reduces the signal strength...

C. ByrneC. Byrne: This product is fantastic. Like others indicated it assembles in about 15 minutes and installs about the same. Full disclosure it has been installed for less than 24 hours. I've not not a single drop in coverage other than from the NBC affiliate, which is 180-degrees from the pointed location. Everything has been rock solid and since we are in a cold snap I only expect improved performance in our normal warmer climate. I am in an area surrounded by dense foilage so RF performance is somewhat expected to be limited and I am pulling an average signal of 72 for all stations on a TiVo Bolt Tuner. I connected direct to my Panasonic Plasma, this has a slightly better tuner than TiVo Bolt, and my signal was in the low 80's for all the same networks. All told I received 52 digital channels. I will update the review once I get though all the weather out here I am interested to see if it holds up on rain fade under severe spring storms.

Installation was quick and I was able to mount near the peak of my attic for approximately 18' - 21' above ground. The higher the better for an antenna. This design (multi dipoles) has been around since the 50's at least, RF hasn't...
