Amazon Customer: I wanted a foam roller that was versatile, I could use myself, and wouldn't require me to move my entire body weight back and forth repeatedly in order to use it. I wanted the center to spin for less friction on my skin and body. Just received the product and tried it out. Perfection! Soft yet firm, adjustable force, the center spins, and it feels great! I was able to use it on my legs and back no problem.

SandraSue: I bought because of the foam material, but then after a trip to academy and feeling the differences in material I realized I wanted something that penetrate a little better when rolling.

I will say too, I was hoping I could wory shoulders a little better, but will have to invest in a massage ball or floor roller.

A longer handle would work better for that, so if you're on the fence due to the length of the handle I would invest in something with a longer handle or go with a floor roller to hit the right spots.

All in all, good material and quality, just not what I need at this time.

Road Runner99: This device works as intended. The ball bearings provide smooth non binding operation. I also prefer the dense foam to the hard plastic found in some other competing devices.

N. Takao: I was worried that the foam might be too squishy to be effective, as I've seen this complaint in other reviews, but it's definitely firm enough to give a good, relaxing massage. I especially like that the foam is soft enough that it doesn't hurt if you accidentally run it over bone. I've even used it on my head, and it feels fantastic! It also feels wonderful on my feet and neck. My mom loves it for her feet as well and uses it when she's sitting at her desk.

I prefer to use it over clothing, but it can be used on bare skin as well. It seems to be very well made. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who finds the harder plastic rollers to be too painful. If this one ever wears out, I'll buy another one iimmediately if they're still making them! (Please, Gaiam, don't stop making them!!)
