mtg326: The grass by my sidewalk was getting very wild. I thought I was cutting it correctly with the weed wacker. I bought this till and took off nearly 6 inches of overgrown grass. I was hitting concrete and this tool held up well. Now I am happy with the way thr edge looks thanks to this tool. I avoided using the handle to much as it's plastic and I let my feet and the bottom do most of the work. I just used the hande to move to a new spot.

Ed Fisher: I was pleasantly surprised how well this works. Our land is rocky - it’s hard to dig with a shovel. The hole digger made putting fence posts into the ground much easier. Usual Fiskars quality.

808Dave: I've seen this product for a long time but finally decided to purchase it. It arrived on a couple of days ago and I tried it out. I have 6 raised beds and it's too small to turn the soil with my electric tiller. I was able to use this rotary cultivator to till the first few inches of soil and manure. The 4 spikes are easy to spin and clean with a hose. Much easier to till with way instead of using a rake to mix the manure in.

Sarah M: It does take a lot of effort, but it works well. I used it to break up the dirt and take out small scoops and then a shovel to get more of the loose material out.

Joseph Ellsworth: Works great for working grass and clover seed into bare spots of lawn. Worth the purchase for just that use. For larger jobs I probably did more work that this product was intended for but when flipping over in the aggressive mode the handle regularly slips in even when fully tightened. I also find a lot of matter gets tanged in the twines and has to be manually plucked out to work again. It gives a maximum tilling of about 2 inches.

Mike Samson: I dig many post holes each year. Usually I use an auger but often I need to do them by hand or clean out the augered holes. Over the last 35 years I have tried many different types and I have had the most success with these. For some reason they stopped selling them in Canada (or at least southern Ontario). I jumped at the opportunity to by them when I saw them on line. They were pricey so I was really happy when I saw them the next time for 50% off. That price was much more reasonable.
They are a tool which is used very aggressively so they will break. The problem I have with them is that there isn't really a quick fix for them when they break. Mine are used for a business so I realize they are a 'cost of doing business'. I think for someone who does not use them as often they should last a long time.
