Rural Reader: I've read and enjoyed a number of books by Maeve Greyson, and Taming Her Highland Legend now joins my ever growing list of five-stars favorites. In fact, one or more of my favorites were written by this author.
The first chapter of this standalone 13th century romance begins in the 21st century, but it seamlessly moves into an ancient world and all the challenges of a modern woman living is that environment.
Well written with mixed moments of drama and humor, this engrossing read has an absorbing plot with charming characters. It even features some danger by a yet to be identified person.
All in all this is a winner and worth a look-see.
Content 411: This book contains mild secular and religious swearing. It also contains a couple of mildly described marital sex scenes.

Booklover: When Evie is put on a 30-day suspension for anger management as a surgeon in London, her friend gives her the keys to her Scottish cabin to regroup. On a hike amidst picturesque waterfalls, her attempts to rescue a kitten finds her falling into a medieval era. Discovering a chieftain face down in the water with a head injury, she saves and heals him. Depending on him for survival, she marries him, discovering their personalities clash until it's discovered someone is out to kill him. Well-written entertaining story with a bit of steaminess and gore, common to Scottish medieval novels, but with a different plot that keeps a reader mesmerized from beginning-to-end.

Sarah Joy Derksen: Greyson does a wonderful job pulling you into the story with her heroines. You feel their sadness, fear, and joy so thoroughly. I love how strong her female characters are, even when going back in time to a place where women weren’t expected to be opinionated or strong!
