JLVazquez: Sinceramente no fue lo que esperaba ya que le falta fuerza sin duda, pero por otro lado creo que por lo que uno paga es justo lo que se espera, materiales de buena calidad.

M. Fell: I got this on a Black Friday deal for $95 with tax and to the door.
It shipped fairly fast and was well packaged. Nothing damaged.
I like the 9 in blade which allows you to cut larger pieces of meat.
I also like the fact that it is belt driven, my old slicer had plastic gears which were a little sloppy and eventually broke after a few years with light use.
I haven't had any issues with power, I know it's for home use and not a piece of industrial equipment.
I like deli sandwiches with thin slices, the thinner the better. While it can't seem to shave meats to tissue paper thin, it will get pretty close.
I have 4 issues that keep it from being a 5 star review.
1. The rail that the meat holder glides on may need to be a larger diameter. I think it flexes, causing the carriage to hang up, not allowing you to cut completely through the meat.
2. The description says "stainless steel carriage food carriage". I expected the whole carriage to be stainless steel, but it's plastic with a stainless steel insert that the meat rests on. It seems to function okay.
3. The back plate, while appears to be a fairly heavy cast aluminum can flex at the top when pushing the...

Burton Guster: Still early stages of the use of this device, but so far has performed perfectly. All comments about being a pain to clean are true and accurate.
At first, it seemed like the blade was moving too slowly to do anything useful; however, I quickly found that it does a great job.
One drawback is that it won't allow for thinly-sliced cuts. Still playing around with it, but thinnest cuts are still pretty thick, imo.

Amazon Customer: This is a basic meat slicer that is fairly easy to use, and does a decent job of cutting thicker slices. However if your intention is for thin cuts like deli meats or cheese, then it is an epic fail. The reason for this is that cutting wise it works pretty good, but there is a gap of approx 1/4 to 1/3 of and inch between the back plate and the meat tray. This gap causes the meat/cheese or whatever you are slicing to rough cut the bottom portion of the food, and it starts to get stuck in this gap causing uneven cuts and a lot of waste/mess. Once the main piece is 2in or less the slices start falling into the gap making it difficult and potentially dangerous for the operator if you aren't careful. The last inch is pretty much a write off, when the meat gets to this point i just stop using the slicer and cut the remainder manually with a good butcher knife.
cleaning is not too bad as the front guide is removable and the food tray flips over to allow for easy cleaning, but the back guide and blade are not easily cleaned.
I have used this slicer now 6-7 times to cut meat for beef jerky, and for that purpose it does the job so long as you pay attention to the above warning about...

D Wobig - long time Amazon Customer: It's my very first slicer and it does exactly what I want in a slicer. I have had no problems slicing a piece of roast beef or turkey breast. The thickness dial is easy to read and easy to set. While it is true that the sliced meat has to fall on the little tray area on the back of the slicer, I found it not as inconvenient as some have reported. I just place a piece of plastic wrap and let the slices fall on it. It is real easy to clean especially if you use a small brush to remove the little chunks of meat that accumulate from slicing . I purchased the 2 additional blades and I think the problems that others had is a result of not using the appropriate blade. I strongly recommend this product. If you need a super heavy duty slicer, this may not be your best choice. However, I can't visualize this machine not being a big help for every day use.
