Dual Screen Portable DVD Player for Car Headrests - Enjoy Movies on the Go!

Cynthia B. Walters: The was a complete waste of money. We have a set of dual dvd players in one of our vehicles already. They worked so well we decided to purchase dvd players for our children for my husband's vehicle. These DVD players are supposed to have an 18-month warranty. It is listed in the description. Customer support is NON EXISTENT! There is no working phone number or email to contact them. The DVD players stopped working within months of being purchased. The main player just gets a blue screen. When it does decide to play a DVD, it freezes instantly. Also, the player has gauged deep places in brand-new DVDs that had never been used. Now they are completely useless. I have never had such a bad product with blatantly horrible customer service, especially for a company that offers a satisfaction guarantee and an 18-month warranty. I have now had this DVD player for less than a year. In the very beginning it worked perfectly. We had a few issues with some cords, but the company was great with helping us get replacements. They are very easy to work with, however...we've only used this DVD player a couple of times (purpose for purchasing it was only for long road trips). We had it put away for a couple of months and I pulled it out to use it on a short trip we were going on and it won't read the disk (brand new disks that we stopped to purchase while on the road). I am a bit disappointed, I really loved this product in the beginning (despite the cord issues) and I love that we can connect our streaming device to it but I would also like for the DVD option to function.

I purchased this dvd player for a 15hr road trip with my 3 kids in tow. Best purchase ever!
-The picture quality is great
-Sound is loud enough
-I specifically wanted something that I could hook up a streaming device to, and this fit the bill.
-Bonus is that I could hook my phone up to it also.
The mounting brackets for the headrest are very easy to use.
Overall I was very happy with this...

Jason McDermott: Haven't used this in the car yet, but was surprised at size and quality of product when I opened box. Screens seem light for size but construction seems solid. Screen resolution on main monitor is great. Slave monitor isn't quite as good, but difference is barely noticeable for children. Speaker quality is great. Maybe even too loud for the car. Lol. Included straps seem flimsy, but I'm sure they will accomplish their intended use. Headphones will probably break sooner than later. They're decent quality and have good sound production for a freebie but foldable headphones arent a great idea for kids. Too many hinges to break. All in all I think this is a very worthwhile buy and I'm looking forward to using a lot to keep the kids quiet on trips. On the plus side you can run this for up to 5hr solo or 3hrs dual monitor on the internal rechargable battery. Great for camping! And each screen has a kickstand for ease of use outside of the vehicle.

David: This is a really good value if it meets your requirements. We really wanted a solution that had both TVs showing the same content, which narrows down your options greatly. This can do it both for a DVD and for content from USB/SD card. The TVs have more that adequate quality for backseat car viewing, and the headphones were of high sound quality than I expected. They are a bit bulky, but they don't require any external packs besides AC power, so its a good tradeoff. Hookup is very simple - one cable connects the TV, and one power cable. It comes with both AC and DC/cigarette lighter versions.

The biggest drawback I found was getting content in the right format for the SD card. It does not support MKV/MP4 files and AVC/H.264 coding, which most modern devices have standardized around. While there is a web site that lists the supported formats, it isn't specific enough to determine how to use your own transcoding solution. The provide links to quite dated solutions, and they don't have bulk conversion capabilities. Tech support, while responsive, was not particularly helpful just pointing me back to the same KB article on supported formats or the mentioned downloads. Tech...

Dajad: We just returned from a 4,000 mile cross country trip with 4 kids in tow and this dual DVD system worked perfectly. The screen size is large, the picture is clear, sound is clear, and it was durable and held up to arguably 60 hours of non-stop use over 2 weeks with no issues whatsoever. We appreciated the lighter adapter power supply being long to reach back to the rear lighter entry port, and the power cord between the 2 monitors was solid and held firm despite bumping. The battery support was a nice perk as we unplugged from the outlet each night and occasionally forgot to plug back in the next day. Our kids frequently used the button controls and turned the units on and off repeatedly as we stopped along the way. Each time, the movie resumed play without interruption. The units also came with long head rest Velcro straps which worked great in our old minivan. I will say the assurance of having an 18-month warranty really sold us on these units and gave us the peace of mind of placing our trust in Naviskauto. We did have some questions and customer service was prompt and helpful. Overall, this was an outstanding buying experience and product quality that proved the test of time...
