Mena: This unit is a replacement for the half-bath. After 10 years its silicone rubber seal had developed ‘blisters,’ and the valve was leaking. This new flush valve is identical, except that it has a handle rather than a push-button operation. Big improvement!

S M: Danco products have one principal design flaw that causes their failure in use. It relates to the main washer that acts as the flapper valve. What Danco as yet fails to realize is that the flow of water causes a vacuum in this region of the device leading to retraction and shrinkage of the sealing gasket, in effect reducing its diameter while in use. Water temperature could be an additional factor. Over time, this translates into a drip drip leak and is the principal reason for reduced reliability in operation. The problem can easily be remedied, if only this gasket is redesigned with a reduced inner diameter AND the outer diameter is increased by 3mm. This aspect has been communicated to Danco; however, there is no acknowledgement, nor any attempt on their part to address the problem. Such as it is, such as it shall remain. So, product gets a low grade on reliability

DarkSceptor: If you read the directions or watch the video installing this thing is a pain in the ass. They show a simple grab and twist on the float and you can adjust it up and down. However for me any time I tried to turn it it rotated the entire thing. I gave up adjusting the float. The second piece was not so clear but I tried installing without pulling it apart and the thing just didn't seat well. So I watched the video on YouTube. They took the camera off the product when they were adjusting the float. AGHHGYHUJYHJH But I could see how they separtated the other part. After pulling it apart I was able to push it down more, get it seated, and get it working. The flush handle isn't as great as they suggest, but as long as I can flush the toilet I'm happy. And there is no flapper or physical connection that can go bad.
