JT: Update. I replaced the 1/2 ID tubing with 1.25 ID tubing and the pump is now flowing like Niagara Falls. It doesn’t like 1/2” tubing. Put too much head pressure on it. It’s lasted about 3 years now without fail. I bumped it up to 4 stars instead of 5 because it would be nice to have a digital readout or notches of some
kind to tell you what the flow rate (doesn’t have to consider head pressure) is.

For the money this pump is really low powered. A much cheaper Quite One pump has a much higher actual flow rate. This thing barely trickles. The controller knob is pointless with such a low flow rate. This is supposed to be 1900 GPH but I seriously doubt it. I am running it on a 100 gal reef tank with a 20 gallon sump and an actual 1900 GPH flow rate would be plenty. It also does not detect when the water level is too low and turn itself off. In this price range, it should do so. On the positive side it has been reliable. Though I have cleaned it several times in hopes of getting better flow it really does not need it. On a 40 - 55 gallon tank this might be a decent pump, but for this price you can do much better. it also does not work with universal DC battery backups...

☆Groove•Master☆: I love my Current USA eFlux Return Pump.
Pros:
1 - Simple Setup (It was simple to add to my Marine Bluetooth Controller) (Purchased Separately)).
2 - Ultra Quet (I actually had to feel my return noiseless to check if it was running)
3 - It has an adjustable return flow (When you turn the pump on it ramps up from stop to the desired output, excellent if you don't want to blow your Corals off your Reef Rock.
4 - DC Motor so it uses very little electricity.
5 - Minimal Footprint for tight spaces without compromising water Output.
Cons:
1 - Priced more than Competors DC Return Pumps of Comparable Flow
2 - You have to use the independent hub (Included with Purchase) when upgrading to the Marine Bluetooth Controller. (I like a tangle free clean setup.)
Summary:
I would recommend this Excellent DC Return Pump to any friend.
This will be a great addition to any Aquarium needing a Return Pump.

Cdnwolf: Installed this for my 90g and my 55g sump. Workes perfect, I even have to have it on half pressure. As it is hard working. I love it, it's awesome. So much room to play with, I can still drop it down or up if I need to. All this with about 3.5 feet of return from the sump to the display tank.

Matt: I really, really wanted to love the Current USA 6010. I needed an external DC return pump and after looking online at cheaper models found this which appears to be a step up. The name made me think "proudly made in the USA" but I highly doubt that. After getting it and taking it out inspection I just couldn't trust it. Seconds after opening the box the back end of the pump falls off. Given what it's made of I'm shocked it didn't break. This was not a defect either, just how it's made (to be fair a lot of potted pumps do this it's just how they're made, but shows the tolerances were not the best and nobody bothered to factor this in when designing the casing).. Then I discover the threaded collars must have an tapered thread or something but are designed in a way to use a gasket. Installing these makes me feel like something is going to split. None of the plastic feels reinforced and the injection moulding has absolutely zero information about what it's made of. The included rubber o-ring is randomly installed too far up the pump wiring but even after relocating it to the correct position it's useless because it's far too large.

Packaging was fine. Nothing was broken upon...

kdogg300: I bought this pump because I upgraded my lights to Current LEDS with the Bluetooth Loop system. I liked the fact that I control this pump with the Bluetooth controller. The pump came with all necessary 3/4 and 1 inch pumping, controller, power supply, mounting hardware and instructions. I run 3/4 inch in sump return line. So I attached the screen to intake and put the 3/4 inch hose barb on. I used a zip tie to secure the hose to the barb for extra safety. I then I mounted controller and set up with loop. I plugged in the power supply which by the way is same supply that is used for LED lights. I went into loop app and adjusted the power of the pump. The pump runs at 30 percent at lowest setting. It will not go any lower. After a few minutes of playing with volume I settled at 60 percent. I have a 55 gallon standard tank with a corner over flow. And in the pump settings I have the feed section on. The pump powers down to 30 percent for 10 mins for feeding mode. Then ramps back up. The pump is very quiet and powerful. Some things when setting up. First Current uses micro USB for the pump controller to Loop controller. The cord isn't that long. So plan accordingly. Next you have to...

Mike Zizis: The pump is awesome. The attached controls can lose their mounts with no way to re- fasten.

J. MeyersJ. Meyers: I'm not going to knock a star off because they are still developing the LOOP app for smartphones. All I have is the pump AND MAN DOES THIS THING MOVE WATER QUIETLY!!! It's about half the size and weight of my old 1800 GPH pump and this one does 3000+ and it just feels well-built. Even without all the LOOP features you can use with their other products, this pump is amazing. Variable speed and stupidly quiet even running inline like mine. I only wish the they included threaded adapters that fit PVC standards instead of the barbed fittings. even the threaded parts almost look like they work with 1.5" PVC but they don't!! ( I used the smaller flange piece from a 3/4" threaded PVC union to adapt to the collar on the effluent in place of the 3/4" barbed fitting they included. Had to cut the flange down a bit but it plumbs in cleaner than the supplied barb fittings.)
